It's true what JB is saying. I started late in life on bulls. Man I was so blessed to get the best advice from a few NFR guys one in particular was a old school African American bull rider ( he was old school...he hung with tuffy) who told me The guys who have made it and busted their asses will always lift you up and give you positive feedback and help, the bull shiters will put you down and never really help. I used that advice throughout life...even when I was out in sector in Iraq in a fire fight.

He is the toughest man to ride a bull. I watched him in Calgary he made the ride and got knocked out by the bull getting off. They carried him off unconscious and I swear everyone there thought the worst. He pulled through and made a quick recovery he must have been choked because he missed the big money day on Sunday that he qualified for handily

He is amazing, I'd love to meet him one day and ask him few questions about bull riding, I'd love to try it even for once. I have nothing but respect for this man.

Why would anyone hate JB Mauney? Even if he’s not who you want to win, hate him? I don’t hate any of the bull riders. I pull for every rider that gets on a bull. I pray they don’t get hurt. My heart stops when one is laying motionless in the dirt surrounded by the medical staff. I love the boys from Brazil and Canada and Australia and the good ole US. Is JB my favorite, damn right but I don’t get the hate against any of these cowboys.

I just want to register this with the greatest rider JB. #JBDBBulls #radiatorranch I just had a medial epicondylar fracture. My motorbike chased me along with nature in the form of a landslide. I'm 24 years of age, this yamaha engine is the 6th I own. My family had to go through a lot with me falling after 100 thousand kilometers of riding. Watching JB makes me feel, how little my problems are. My motorbike had a manmade brain, these guys ride on natural brain functioning against them. I'm on my way to a faster than anticipated rehab. It's not pain anymore. Inconvenience, uncomfortable. Being so used to pain, it becomes mental, a state of mind. And learned from my last shoulder surgery. I told the Surgeon it does hurt a little, admittedly. Doctor told me I was in a lot of pain, and most human beings cannot tolerate the level of pain I was in. The pain receptacles are no longer sending the full report of the pain and are numbed up from being used to pain. Was told my brain deals with it differently. Dr. said I was in pain, but just dealt with it different. Riding bulls is a sick thing if you think about it. So addicted to that euphoric high one is trying to obtain week in, and week out, that it would be like what a drug addict (I think, don't really know other that what is seen on T.V.) goes through. No thoughts of what you are doing to your body or the capacity to care even though you know something is just not right happening. Riding bulls is a beautiful thing. It's an amazing thing. A special thing only a handful out of Billions and Billions of people get the gift and opportunity to do.

What strikes me about bull riders is that most of them can't move like a normal person (anymore). Just look at Mauney's shoulders at 4:02, that's not normal. Basically, he's destroying his body and likely will end up in a wheelchair with chronic pain. If he survives this "sport", that is.
