Join History Hunters as Jeff explores the historic graves of Knights Ferry, California, which dates back to the 1850s. This cemetery was established shortly after Ulysses S. Grant came visiting in the 1852-54 time period. He also drops by a more recent grave, that of 1967 homicide victim Mark Ulrich who was murdered by Archie Fain.

I'm always impressed that you are able to find so many interesting people in your cemetery tours. Your research is so thorough. Where do you find the time to turn out such high quality videos? I also appreciate Sarah's love of animals since I also love them. I never knew a zonkey was a actual animal. That was a bonus. 🙂💕

Lots of people died in their 40s due to high blood pressure which was not treated until the mid 20th century at the earliest. So sad. My family lost 3 of my 4 maternal great-grandparents in their early 40s due to strokes brought on without doubt by untreated high blood pressure. Thank you for sharing!

I enjoy your channel, thanks for sharing your videos! I love visiting cemeteries, and it’s nice to be able to do so from home while learning about the lives and backgrounds of the departed. History wasn’t always my favorite subject, but as I get older I realize the importance of carrying on legacies and handing these stories down to younger generations. I think your channel does a great job of doing that! Thanks again.

Many Union Civil war veterans were born in Germany. The regiment of William Studyvin shown in this episode (57th Illinois) fought at the battle of Shiloh, Atlanta and the march to the sea campaign under General Sherman. It's possible he fought side by side with my own great great Grandfather who was in the 73rd Illinois. Thanks again for another interesting episode.

Very interesting, I've been remembering some of my younger days running around over in that area, Drank a little beer at La Grange a long time ago. Once while looking around the Semetary in Hornitos, we had to dispatch a rattle snake. Thanks for Sharing.
