Wow those prices are crazy

You two have taken me back to my childhood! I am a California girl, but I spent a good part of every summer on the Jersey Shore (six weeks) at my grandmother's home. We would always spend at least two or three days in Ocean City, Maryland. No trip would be complete without going to the Alaska stand. My sister and I would go every day while we were there for a delicious hot dog! Thanks for the trip down Nostalgia Lane!

As a kid we would always go to the Alaska Stand location off the boardwalk, which no longer exists. I have very found memories of that place. Thank for taking down memory lane.

Oh I love OC Maryland!!! We had a condo on 77 th street. I loved to be there in winter & just watch the waves. So many happy memories!!! Thanks

Holy moly those prices seem outrageous. 7.05 for a large drink is insane. I know food prices are high all over but this is beyond inflation

I worked at the Alaska stand back in the summer of 1964. It was on the boardwalk down across from Dolly's Popcorn where the pier went out to the rides. The owner, Mr. Givers, had sides of beef brought in so he could grind up his own hamburger. You couldn't find a better burger in OC and they had cheese dogs which was a new thing back then(also - you cold have anything and everything on your burgers and dogs - no extra charge lol)

So happy to have you in my hometown. Well, sort of. I’m in Bethany Beach, DE but only a 20-30 min drive to the Alaska Stand! Haven’t had their food in a while and may have to change that now that I’ve seen your video!! Love you guys! 💜

The oldest Seashore Resort in the United States is Cape May New Jersey which dates back to 1692 it is absolutely beautiful with all that Victorian architecture. If you go, one of the best restaurants I believe is the Lobster House right there on the ocean has delicious Seafood. Not far from there is Wildwood New Jersey also a fun place to go with one of the longest boardwalks in the United States that's where we went as kids back in the 1960s and 1970s. There is a lot to do in that Seashore town. I think Atlantic city has the absolute longest boardwalk in the United States. Your food looked very good and looks like you had a beautiful day there with great weather. ❤🇺🇸🙏🏻✌🏻

Looks like a wonderful day down the shore with beautiful weather. I have been down the shore hundreds of times. And spent a lot of time on the beach from the 1960s all the way until around 2019. But I want to mention those prices are absolutely outrageous. The things have really changed in the past few years in tourist areas especially. Some of it probably has something to do with Maryland's new minimum wage of $15. Just 10 years ago on Atlantic City Boardwalk we were eating pizza for $1 a slice. It's not going to end well for many of these restaurants. Families cannot afford these kind of prices. Just in the past 5 years more than half of the seafood buffets in Ocean City Maryland have already went out of business. I believe there are only two left and the prices went from 36.00 all the way up now to almost $50 and you get no snow crab legs anymore. I think you would get much better motel and food deals in Myrtle Beach South Carolina especially off-season starting in September❤

Got to get some Maryland steamed crabs while your there. Try the crab bag. I wish I was there while you are I would show you so many places to eat but we won't be there til end of July. Also try secrets it's bay side and you can sit outside in the tables in the sand so cool there you will love it you have to try dumsers ice cream down by the inlet.

I love eating outside!!!! So pretty there! Food always tastes better by the ocean. I dated someone who wouldn't eat onions at all even as an ingredient!!! VERY short relationship 😊

The first you notice is the fries, if that's a small , imagine what a large would be, the burger looked amazing,and John's shake a must try. That was one unique hot dog, hoagie bun and dog split in half Have a great day. 🇺🇸

I go to ocean city every year you must go to Thrashers French fries they are the best. Also Shenanigans on the boardwalk on 4th street. If you like BBQ try Annabelles BBQ off the boardwalk there are all you can eat seafood buffets.. try Captians gallery seafood best in Ocean city

If you are there for any time try Mickey's Crab House in Bethany Beach, old time crab house. Very good though expensive. Aso Nantuckets in Fenwick Island. Very good and a traditional old time place to eat. The food look good at the Alaska stand, expensive but everything is expensive in OC. Nicely done video, thanks.

The funny thing about grottos pizza is they actually started up in north east Pennsylvania up around wilkes barre Scranton pa they have 3 locations up there I guess one of the owners moved down to Delaware so now grottos pizza is through out the state of Delaware down to the ocean and I'm pretty sure there in ocean city Maryland to

I was just there two weeks ago. Hope you went to Thrashers.

And I've been going there for 60 years. I remember paying about $1.00 for the hamburger and hot dog. I'm thinking to get the hamburger, fries and large drink was around $2.50!!! Alaska Stand for hamburgers, Dayton's for chicken, Thrashers for fries and Dumser's for milkshakes. Going downy ocean...Hon!!!!

Finally you went to a place that I was yes they have the best hamburgers we stayed at a condo it was beautiful three stories front was parking back was the water we would make our own breakfast and then when we go out walk the boardwalk come back put lotion on our bodies because we're already burnt then when we go out dressed up and that t-shirt place that's right next door made a t-shirt for me with my name he thought it was a pretty cool way of spelling it so but anyways yes the hamburgers oh my gosh I love them but they did not cost that I got a full bag of everything plus a drink for $5 how prices have gone up since the 90s that place is wonderful God bless peace be with you much love and respect TCB❤

We visited this place a few days ago because we had coupons. No one in our family thought it was that great. The prices are insane, even for O.C.

The split hot dog looked really good with the toasted sub bun, but the cheeseburger seemed like the hit. Especially with the crisp and juiciness that y'all described. The price was very reasonable too, considering it's right near the beach and an iconic food stand going 91 years strong. It would be hard to resist getting a burger for anyone staying in the balconies above the Alaska Stand. Was the bird that almost flew into Bobbie during your outro missing a foot?

Wow, the only other place I've seen food deals like those is Disney World.....love OC though
