there is something about these shipping container's size speakers, they just have so much impact on your chest. Something that skinny super model's speakers unable to do.

I saw these in a picture of air studios. If I’m correct, that means they might’ve been used on a lot of classic albums recorded there, for example, the song money for nothing by Dire Straits.

Take the large format drivers out of the enclosures and get some Hartsfield horns and leases and put them on top.

great speakers i look for ones like this but already had the altec lansing closest model to this ones and at the time ended up buying pioneer exclusive series twin 2401 speakers and i am happy with them but i was looking for the JBL´s, the aletc lansing model is the oldest 1 woofer only but after restored turn out to be very good sounding ones ,and restored to original specs not improved speakers ,modern improvements is for modern speakers that i also have ,the last i bought were some giant Focal speakers but i have a pair of JMlabs that as a model ,the one i own with focal as the model and the symbol there used in focal speakers maybe bought in the 80´s not sure

I love the old Heathkit electronics, they used very high quality parts and have a great reputation, what kind be said about 4350, a true classics. The orange 511/811 don’t appear to have any drivers attached, your plans?

Hi, this setup looks as it could sound balanced, and not too "horny" colored. Is the metal horn an old Altec one? I had an Altec 2 way system long time ago with a similar looking horn. I think big JBL fiber horns may do more coloring of the sound than welded segment horns like shown. Does anyone have an opinion? Would love to hear the Chello directly form that setup.

they must sound very good with the other components, it´s missing a good old turntable ,the new ones doesn´t sound close to the old ones ,i have a friend from germany living 50 kms from me in south interior Portugal ,or hell due to constant high temperatures for 6 monthes night or day ,this year i went out at 23.00 hours and it were 39 degrees celsius with a high-level of humidity ,this to say that he owns the best turntables and cartridges known to men but he in early 2023 in germany told me he ws going to buy a Pro-ject turntable, to what i told him that not even the expensier model from the brand had aceptable quality ,to wich he returns and asked me to see it and for my surprise a very good sounding Pro-Ject turntable that looked good but very simple and between the turntable it self and the cartridge he spent(not needing it) 14.000€, and he owns a lot better ,but he´s filphy rich
