The respected JBL Studio 230 are worth the small step up soundwise over the Arena. But these are Built to price but built well. Nice appearing woofer inductor. - Sandy

In this industry many companies die and others rise to take their place in a very competitive world. Just think of the demise of Camber and Energy from Canada and you realize this world is driven by profit margins and not for supplying customers with quality and avant-garde products.

I don't see any problem with its build for its inexpensive price. There are a lot of people who wont spend over $300 for a pair of speakers, JBL is a business after all, they want to turn a profit, they simply covered a segment in the lower price range. Youre not going to get expensive drivers and fancy crossovers.

When you go for JBL is because they were one of the best many years ago, like any manufacturer they used to build several models some cheaper than the other now there's no top quality one All of em are average and that is pretty sad to my audiophile ears dude!!

I think that rear terminal plate is mass-produced. The Polk T15 has the same one! The T15 crossover is worse, just a teeny iron core coil and a cheap electrolytic capacitor glued to the backside of the terminal block and they are just soldered together. This JBL seems better.

There it is necessary to replace these capacitors electrolytes - this is evil for sound, put any film ones instead , I did so and they sounded more interesting

Thanks for the video! JBL Arena seems to be constructed and manufactured well enough (for the price). Could you please clarify it for all of us -- does Harman belongs to Samsung now?

Are they owned by Samsung - yes. Does Samsung build JBL products- NOT . .. Samsung Electronics purchased the Harman International in late 2016, which gave the ownership rights to more than 20 brands like JBL , AKG, Harman/Kardon, Mark Levinson. BUT Samsung Electronics does not make the JBL. Harman have their own manufacturing partners. Samsung is a financial owner but does not produce Harman's products

Why everyone shit on these speakers, they are $200 and sound quite amazing and fills a decent size living room (20x20 odd shaped + 9' ceilings).

4:38 what more do you want, it's a standard 12dB crossover with supercrappy caps and simple attenuation (single resistor) for tweeter.

You don't need a cast frame for home audio it's more for pro audio that gets thrown around a lot. Klipsch uses stamped frame on their entire heritage line

Their current lineup of speakers are actually quite outstanding. They put most of the money in the build where it matters, drivers and making a solid cabinet. The directivity control of their speakers are second to none, that’s the key to good sound

Super economicos, compre dos torres, un center, dos surround y un subwoofer por 200$. Es el venue series dual 8 tower y por el precio estoy imprecionado. Me imajino que Los de 1000$ y para arriva seria como el cine.
