Very in depth review like always. Well done. I'm really torn between going the Q800C+SWA-9500S satellites for ~650€ or the q990c for 840€. I currently have a Q600A, which has done its job well enough, but the lack of an e-arc port + surrounds has been somewhat annoying, specially when dealing with high bitrate atmos content. Thanks, keep that awesome work rolling! :)

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Honestly, I'd suggest considering the JBL Bar 800 over the Samsung 800c + rears (should work out cheaper). But the 800c + rears is a good combo too. Of course if you have the budget the 990c will be far superior in every department over both of them.

Main issue is that i've never had the experience with a JBL product and im comfy enough with the Samsungs, specially considering that i'll probably end up going for a QD-Oled Samsung TV in the future. The JBL is a bit more expensive than the Q800 paired with the rears too. :) Plus, as you mention in your vid, theres no height sound on those rear speakers. ^^''@@TotallydubbedHD

Yep ^^ From all that i've read until now, Q-Symphony does seem to help with the overall sound. So, i ended up with the q990c, its a bigger investment than i was thinking but in the end, i think it will be worth it! :) Thank you for the help, and keep up the awesome work! Subscribed.

Nice in depth review. Can you suggest between 800c + satellites or jbl 800, considering i prefer better clarity and sound stage then bass. Hearing your soundclips in video, i could make out that base from woofer sounds too much distorting the mid range voice clarity. Kindly help.

I bought these for 675 aud, it’s worth it. Still didn’t turn full volume don’t wanna mess with neighbours 😅. Bass is amazing worth it totally recommended

Pretty sure you won't be able to connect your amp to any soundbar, but feel free to look online to see if anyone has ever done that. Glad you enjoyed the review, and I'd generally recommend the JBL over the Bose.

Hi, I'm considering this JBL 800 and Samsung 800c. Mainly used for watching TV, Netflix and listening to music. Which do you recommend for a better experience when watching a movie/series on Netflix? This will sit in a living room 5m(w) x 3m(l) (open on the back end), and my sofa is about 2.5m away from tv/soundbar. Thank you.

Please help. I'm using JBL Bar Pro 800 with my Sony Bravia A9G OLED. Soundbar connected to TV via HDMI eArc. PROBLEM: JBL soundbar will go into Standby Mode after 10 minutes even while TV is playing. I lose sound in the middle of streaming and it is frustrating. Please help.

Sorry. I might have missed it in the video. If I am not interested in surround sound and I will be using the rear speakers always attached to the soundbar, can I set them so that it just improves basic stereo sound coming from soundbar? Thank you.

If you think about the detachable ones, they should last up to 10 hours i think and charges when they’re connected to the main speaker

Thank you for the review... I was considering jbl 800 and now I'm close enough to purchase it. Just, can you explain me conectivity, "you cannot feed through 4K at 120 Hz... for console gaming"... how it will affect on the sound when I connect PS5? What can I expect of sound?

I'm not sure if I should buy this soundbar or the Samsung Q930C. In my country, the JBL Bar 800 is a little "cheaper" than the Q930C, but the JBL one doesn't have a DTS codec (the JBL Bar 1000 has it, but it's a lot more expensive). Does the fact that the JBL Bar 800 doesn't have DTS still make it worth buying? Or will I miss the DTS codec?

Go for jbl 800. It can play dolby atmos truehd lossless audio. I prefer dolby atmos turehd over DTS

No streaming platform has DTS. DTS is only useless if you watch bluray content.

Hey, I have a question. I'm looking to get a sound system for my new apartment. I will mainly use it for watching Movies/ series/ sports, and playing music. I was considering the Samsung HW-Q930C (€600), and the JBL Bar 800 Pro (€750). I really like the idea of the JBL because of the wireless rear speakers so I can put one in the kitchen while cooking and still being able to enjoy the music. Which one would you recommend, or would you go for a completely different system instead? Thank you so much in Advance!

I’m confused between Sony HTA3000+SW3 subwoofer , JBL bar 500 and Samsung HWQ800C. All and priced similar to pair with my Sony X80L tv. My preference 70% music and 30% movies.

For music I like it the old way Stereo left and right. How do the detachable speakers sound ? Will they add to the overall stereo feel. ?

@@TotallydubbedHD yes I wanted to know the stereo separation when I play music. I finally went to the store and heard it. It’s only good for ATMOS movies. For music the surround speakers detached won’t make a big difference. When detaching the music automatically sounds more to the center speakers. Finally I ended up buying the Sony HT-A3000 with subwoofer and surround speakers got it for 850. Slightly priced above the bar 800. But it sounds great. Great vocals and audio separation for music.

@@TotallydubbedHD Thanks for replying. I did both but happened to comment on the wrong video, I meant to comment on the Q800C. All the alternatives in the description are 1,5-3x the price in my region, so I'm guessing it's a pretty good value proposition.
