The JbL sounds muffled yet refined at the same time. The bass on the jbl is deeper. The boom plus highs are really sharp. The price difference is what you have to consider also.

the thing is even if (jbl boom box 2 is on sale with a price 370) you can still buy 2 Motion Boom Plus for the same price its just not worth it when you have 2 Motion Boom Plus concected jbl boom box 2 losses in every aspect it can.

That MBP+ needs some serious EQ to sound right, especially at the high end. And it doesn't go as low as the BB2. The BB2's response at the high end sounds a bit "pinched" to me. The MBP+ is a lot cheaper than the BB2 however. I'd be tempted to get one and try modifying it, like adding a little bit of weight to the PRs to tune them lower and definitely use custom EQ to clear up the sound.

I love soundcore and the products they sell AT such an insanely reasonable price… I have many JBL speakers and they are solid and last for years… I’ve been wanting to hear this Soundcore in person, maybe buy it and gift it to someone for Christmas this year.

I’ve got enough from the JBL Extreme 2. Very good for small gatherings or personal listening. I’ve got the Soundcore motion boom and after EQ and getting over the cheap feel of it I’d say the price difference to get some extra bass is not worth it. You could get two of the soundcores and pair them for less. No way I’m buying the boom box from JBL or the extreme 3. Let us know when JBL has a real EQ app. If I’m going over 500 plus I’m then looking at the Diamondboxx speakers. Thank you Soundcore. We’d all prefer the Boombox 2 bass response but it’s 500. It’s not the same category of speaker. It’s an Extreme 3 competitor not a boombox 2 competitor. Thx for the vid.

Best sound overall hands down to the Soundcore. JBL speakers are very base heavy and lack lots of clarity in sound. Size doesn't matter.

the comparison is always a bit unfair imo. The MP+ only sounds good when you use a custom eq. Bought my MP+ for 130$ and i think thats a beautiful deal especially if you compare it to the price of the JBL BB 2

The JBL sounds warmer and has less noise, I've always felt JBL's need a tad bit more mids and treble (I have an extreme 2) they sound a bit muffled as people say, but this can be sorted out by tweaking the eq on your player. I feel the Soundcore is way too noisy and the quality of the drivers from the JBL can really be heard, and the bass, well....... say no more, JBL it is

This comparison it reminds me the JBL boombox vs Xtreme2 video, the boombox sounds waayy too harsh and can get overpowered, sounds V Shape almost Zero mids,still some mids but it isn't pronounced. The Xtreme2 sounds Slightly muffled at the same time sound cleaner and refined highs. Doesn't sound Harsh at higher volumes also doesn't get as loud til you plugged in ;)

I hate cheap looking speakers (and cheap speakers in general) I like and want my speaker to look nice (except having high quality sound) so it's pleasant to watch at it! Partybox 710 vs 310 max volume

Having both the BB2 and the MB+ and having spent 10 days with the MB+ while on vacation in Mexico I really am rather disappointed with the MB+. that 6Khz nasty bump on the boom plus is beyond tiring. I used a calibrated mic and REW to create a correction PEQ and loaded those values on my phone using powerampEQ. It really helped with the harsh treble but damn, when I brought the speaker into the room, the mid bass was just way too boomy. It needs new firmware with a better factory EQ something fierce. I was really hoping it would be a real killer for its light weight. Also, the boom plus goes to garbage and starts blatting out bass distortion with some genres of music like Rebolution even with the stock EQ settings at any sort of outdoor volume.

That JBL boombox blew it out. But its supposed to. It's double the price.

The best jbl ,if you guys know some acustic rules you whill see is important to have more medial fz qnd minimal high and the bass to be there to make the rezonance and combinațions of harmonics but we talking about the quality ,boombox whill rezist more in time trust me i have one about 10 years (xtreme 1)

You must compair it with boombox 1 did you know why? Because boombox 1 little bit louder as motion boom plus. Boombox 1 bass also similar to motion boom plus. Both have same issues little bit less bass and little bit louder and sharper from boombox 2

SMBP is a wise choice for money, it has complete and nice audio sound meanwhile BB2 seems superb the boomy bass and clarity is killing it. Im still willing to pay for JBL. It gives what every listener wants.

Nobody cares about price here, if a normal person wants a speaker he should look for the best quality and sound. The motion sounds like a compressed phone speakers compared to the boombox. And its not a huge difference in size.
