Thanks for the review, it was really helpful. I consider myself a part-time DJ; I make old school R&B, Hip-Hop mixes in my home studio and have thus far worked with Pioneer DJ headphones. Now looking into the JBL's as I also want to use headphones outside the house. Still doubting though, what other headphones in the same price/quality range would you recommend?

You are totally right that these are better wired than wireless. In fact, when used wired with a good amp, these are some of the best closed back headphones I've ever used. Excellent sound with extraordinary power handling. Just keep cranking it up and they keep going and going. Your ears will bleed before these begin to distort. That is SO RARE these days when governments (EU) pass laws that limit SPL. Sure, the mighty Crusher ANCs shake more with their well-implemented haptics, but the JBL Club One rules for pure sonic power. Oh, and they're $100 off right now on Amazon.

This video is BY FAR the best review I've seen about the Club One and I highly appreciate it! Thank you! I currently have the JBL 660NC and Im a massive audio/bass junkie and Im very nitpicky about my sound and was considering switching but the price tag held me back. I'm glad I watched your review and I've decided to stick with the 660 and just wait for a bit better Speaking of the 660, how much do you know about them? There's a setting (ear pressure detection?) that automatically pauses your music when you take of your headphones. In general its a great setting BUT (and this is a big but issue for me) When you wear headphones in bed and more your head slightly or when you yawn, it detects the pressure and it apuses the music. Do you have nidea how to disable it?

Thanks as always for a great video. I think I just might have to pick up a set of these. I know I probably use headphones to much. I can purchase the headphones and a case on amazon for about $209. The nice thing is if I don't like them, I can easily return them. I don't know anything about headphone amps, or dacs and things like that. I hope they will be good wired mode without those kinds of things. I hope the JBL app is accessible with voice over on my iPhone 8.

I've been waiting for a JBL One review and I think it's a very solid and unbiased review. I have the JBL Club Ones and I love them. I'm not a loud volume guy and I think volume is perfect. I agree on Bluetooth mode not having enough bass, but when you plug them in via cord they HIT! They also get wayyyyy louder and hit harder if you plug them in a DJ Controller.

@@DekelPro1 I believe they're pretty comfortable, clamping force is tighter and they don't feel light like other headphones. However, they don't really fatigue my ears and I can go 2-3 hours until they start to hurt. It can be a trade-off, but as soon as you touch them you'll know it's a quality pair of headphones.

I bought these headphones, and I gotta say they are amazing. I feel that the sound quality on these cans is 100 x better than the XM3s. The bass on these do give it an awesome can of whoop-ass - I do listen to techno, trance and a little bit of psytrance. I feel the noise isolation is pretty solid even without the ANC on. I can't wait to test these out for DJing.

They are really professional headphones made for professional applications and they have a 3500 mW power rating so try them out on your equipment wired, in my opinion the bluetotth is an added bonus and its actually just the same technology they use in their other headphones. Im getting a pair.

Did it work properly canceling this kind of noise? Well, I am from Brazil and there aren't much options here, it is difficult to find Bose, Plantronics or Sony, but this JBL is available.

To anyone who thinks these headphones are NOT loud enough..... this is due to the fact that most cell phones only produce about 0.5 volts of aquizion signal... however, these headphones will handle far more power and voltage than that. You will need a good quality headphone amplifier (such as the Fiio Q1 Mark 2) in order to adequately push the drivers. FYI

I need help please, one yesterday I turned them on and from there they do not work for me, they turn on and the led is on and the ANC, but the bluetooth does not blink, I cannot press any button, much less restore it to the factory, I tried everything.

I managed to pick them up for 100 bucks from work. Great deal!. The NC is good, not like the sony xm4 or xm5 but better than any mid tier headphone. But sound quality wise i think they top every headphone i have listened to especially of plug them in your laptop with the audio cable.

Just got mine I wouldn't agree that the audio can't go high enough with the right equalizer settings you won't be able to listen to max audio for more then an hour without getting hearing damage

Hmm, the way i see it, the JBL club 950nc is more for the casual fans, while this club one is more specialized for audiophiles, hence that special coiled cable with the plug adapters. Since I'm a casual, i wonder if the 950nc is better for me....

They drop the price very soon from 350 to 245 bucks. The one step lower NC 950 model cost 215 bucks, thats 30 bucks between them. I would pick it up but there is ecosystem problems. if i can only configurate that thing over apple or google store apps, so its wortless under my 5000$ windows pc.

Bluetooh headphones don't sound the same both in BT mode and wired mode, not even my recently acquired Edifier Spirit S3 achieves that. My opinion on the JBL Club One is that their BT mode is ok, but agreeing with you, they really shine when in cable mode and amplified. Since I don't commute or walk around with headphones, that isn't much an issue for me, and they are awesome to listen to while watching movies.

Club ones are extremely heavy and noise cancellation is very average. Not at all comparable with XM4. Sound quality is quite decent

I just talked to JBL they indicated that they are pushing a hardware update over wifi that will fix the button and weight issues... Just connect them to a computer and wait. They will get lighter and the buttons will get easier to push.... Just be patient.

Why would djs want then to swivel? That only causes issues while putting them on and off. Also if someone has bad hearing, loud music only makes it worse. These work at a volume which won't do any damage to ones ears long term snd that is a hood thing, trust me. But the rest i agree with you

That's a really good comparison. It's been a long time since I've heard the Backseat, but I think the sub bass is about the same. The details may be a little better in the JBL but soundstage goes to Backbeat. ANC is way better in JBL and calls go to Backbeat.

The Club One has a lower frequency range and slightly better materials. The headband is the most obvious difference. Pull both of them up on the JBL site to compare. They're actually really close though.
