(GERMAN text below - Text in Deutsch unten). I searched for a long time and found no tips or instructions on how to replace the earpads on a JBL E45BT headset. So, after ordering spare earpads, I did this short tutorial / demo. Note and disclaimer: This is not an instruction, no liability for property damage / personal injury, other risks! You should be skilled and know what you are doing.
The ear cushions are very firmly glued (double-sided tape) and can not be removed without destruction. If you use a cutter: Take care not to cut, injure or damage the headphones. A thin spatula or similar is certainly usable too. Then clean the remaining, remaining adhesive strips clean ("peel off") and then stick the new ear cushions. Make sure that the ear cushions are marked (left / right) and glued on accordingly. There are also 4 position markers so that you have to attach the pad CORRECT appropriately. Attention! Take care when putting on, because the adhesive is extremely strong and a subsequent correction is NOT possible!
Make sure that the position when sticking is already exactly correct! These earpads can be ordered from your local (national) JBL distributor or parts service. In Germany, for example, the company ESCOOR E.S.C. GmbH Website: escoor.de/ Procedure: Request spare parts by e-mail (type and color, address / delivery address, name!). You will then receive an offer or a pro forma invoice (advance invoice). You transfer this invoice amount and receive the spare earpads after a few days.
The price was 10 EUR (net) for the earpads, 3.53 EUR (net) shipping + set. VAT 19% (prices: as of April 2019 - no liability for correctness of the information). Now my JBL E45BT are like new again - with new earpads :-)

Ich habe sehr lange gesucht und keine Tipps oder Anleitung gefunden wie man die Ohrpolster bei einem JBL E45BT Kopfhörer austauschen kann. Nachdem ich mir Ersatz-Ohrpolster bestellt hatte, machte ich daher diese kurze Anleitung/Demo. Hinweis und Haftungsausschluß: Dies ist keine Handlungsanweisung, keine Haftung bei Sach-/Personenschäden, sonstigen Risiken! Sie sollten geschickt sein und wissen was Sie tun.
Die Ohrpolster sind sehr fest aufgeklebt (Doppelklebeband) und können ohne Zerstörung nicht abgenommen werden. Falls Sie einen Cutter verwenden: Vorsicht, damit Sie sich nicht schneiden, verletzen oder die Kopfhörer damit beschädigen. Eine dünne Spachtel o.ä. ist sicher auch verwendbar. Danach die restlichen, verbliebenen Klebestreifen sauber entfernen ("abpellen") und die neuen Ohrpolster dann aufkleben. Dabei beachten, dass die Ohrpolster markiert sind (links/rechts) und entsprechend aufgeklebt werden. Außerdem gibt es 4 Positionsmarker so das man das Polster entsprechend KORREKT anbringen muss. Vorsicht! Aufpassen beim aufsetzen, da der Kleber extrem stark ist und eine nachträgliche Korrektur NICHT möglich ist!
Passen Sie daher auf, daß die Position beim aufkleben bereits schon genau korrekt ist! Diese Ohrpolster können Sie bei Ihrem regionalen (nationalen) JBL Distributor oder Ersatzteilservice bestellen. In Deutschland bspw. die Firma ESCOOR E.S.C. GmbH Website: escoor.de/ Ablauf: Ersatzteilanfrage per E-Mail (Typ und Farbe, Adresse/Lieferadresse, Name angeben!). Sie erhalten dann ein Angebot bzw. eine Pro forma-Rechnung (Vorabrechnung). Diesen Rechnungsbetrag überweisen Sie und erhalten nach wenigen Tagen die Ersatz-Ohrpolster zugesendet.
Der Preis war bei mir 10 EUR (netto) für die Ohrpolster, 3,53 EUR (netto) Versandkosten + gesetzt. MwSt. 19% (Preise: Stand April 2019 - keine Haftung für Korrektheit der Angaben). Nun sind meine JBL E45BT wieder wie neu - mit neuen Ohrpolstern :-)

Thanks a lot for this two part video man. My JBL E45BT became unusable because of the cushions, and you video was the only one I found on youtube. For anyone who's looking for these cushions in Europe, I only found it on AliExpress.

Yes, there was no video before. So I did do one after I solved this problem with mine :-) BTW: In Germany you can order it from the company shown in description. But I dont know if they sell abroad also. Glad to hear you found a solution via AliExpress.

Wait how do you take the old ones off safely? I cant find any videos on how to do so and i dont want to break them! They were expensive.

I might be too late for an answer, but I have two pairs of headphones, one that doesn't work and a new one. Thing is, the earpads on the new ones are looking worn out and dirty, while the old ones look practically new. Can I in some way swap the better earpads from my old headphones to my new ones?

Theoretically, yes. But you have to be very careful if you remove the "good" ones so that you don't break them (foam). With the old ones it doesn't matter. After that you have to remove the remains of the double-sided tape everywhere. Then buy new double-sided tape (carpet tape) and cut it to size. You can also cut small squares and glue them to a circle. Skin thing it holds reliably and sticks sufficiently much surface. Good luck! Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator

Thanks! Yes, this was the reason I did do these 2 videos. I had same problem but did not find any information or video how to do this. It's sad trow headphone away because of this when possible repare...

How do you remove the pads? I’m too scared to remove mine since there’s no proper instructions on how to do it and i might break my headphones. I am also using Jbl e45bt. But the pads wont come off so easily. Please help me since my pads leather are like peeling off now and i need to replace it.

First you should buy new onces. So you see how they look. Then remove piece by peace te old ones. The "leather" first, then the foam, the double sided glue and the plastic ring (piece). Nothing can happen if you take some care. You also see how it looks and what pieces it contains on the replace pads when you have.

@@quaithe7050 You can use knife, cutter, scissors or what ever. The double sided glue connects the pads with the case. To remove the plastic ring with the glue you need go with knife or cutter (careful! Not cut you...) between. You can see the double glue, the ring and the complete pads on my 2 videos. (There are 2 videos, see my chancel)

Man, you must take off the black border on the ear fone? I buy new ears but I'm afraid to make the replacement

They ear cusions are stronge glued with double sides tape on the phone. If you are afraid you can make "piece by peace" ... in any way you MUST destroy the old cusions more ore less in some way. You can carefully remove the foam padding with scissors or knives. Then you will see that a plastic ring remains. This is the ring that is attached to the headphones with the double-sided adhesive tape and carries the padding. You have to remove the ring (with knife, spatula in between). Some light force is needed, but nothing can break. Can also bee that you must peel away after this some of the glue tape to make surface clean. Then look for right / left and that correct position (some "nose" in the plastic shows you). As you can see in the video one of the cusions I also did destroy to remove it part by part. It did not go easy away with knife between, so I cutted the grey surface what covers the foam and removed it.

@@JessicaFerreira-cy1hw Fine! Yes there are 2 black, but remove only the one what is together with the cusion.
