@@massmanojmanojkumar1645 Yeah lol The Flip 5 has one 20W speaker driver with passive bass radiators at either end. This is an extra 4 watts of power compared to the Flip 4's 16W. The low end is slightly deeper and more punchy than most portable Bluetooth speakers of a similar size.

I was wondering if this is any worth getting in 2023 just so i could use it as another speaker apart from my flip 6 and I wonder if the jbl flip 5 would be good to pair with my flip 6 in stereo mode im not really bothered by the fact it doesnt have a tweeter just wondering if it will sound better in stereo mode.

Why does this one look different than mine?? See where it says 4R7 on the mother board well on mine, they are squares, and on yours they are circles also my 4R7 broke off mine by a kid throwing it so if you know a way I can put it back on please tell me lol the only thing I can think of is soldering it back

@HBV90 Hello, my flip 5 looks very different than the inside of yours.... It hasn't turned on since dropped in lake. One blinking white light when plugged in. When I reset by pressing power multiple times with long 30 second press at end, all 5 lights turn on steady. then they turn off...

there are different model releases so your may be a different release. For the issue you are having,, you can try the following as it has worked for many. Hold down the relevant set of buttons, or do both, 1 after the other. #5. PlayPause + Vol.Up + Vol.Down -> hard reset (should simulate disconnecting the battery). This is often the best way to restore a bricked speaker, and will fix most issues, it has worked many times for me #6. PlayPause + Vol.Up for 2 seconds -> factory settings (erases history of paired devices)."

Hi Jin, how does the side speakers work if its not connected, I am having issues with one speaker on my Flip 5, it has a crackling sound, any suggestions on how to fix it?

The side "speakers" aren't speakers at all they basically just amplify the bass coming from the main speaker on the front. The crackling sound could mean its blown

The "speakers" on the side are not speakers. They are passive radiatores which work when the main driver moves pushes air causing the passive radiators to move increasing bass response

Is the usb c waterproof? I wonder why it doesnt have that cover like on flip 4 Is the speaker driver rubber? Some say it is only paper

Yes like every waterproof smartphone also has no cover over the usb-c port. Its waterproof. Make sure to dry it first and remove any dirt or salts out of the port by cleaning it with distilled water.

My flip 5 keeps turning on and off on its own, wont properly charge and as soon as it turns on instantly turns off. Hasn’t seen too much water but it does sit on the side of the bathtub while I shower. Been looking for days but no avail to a solution

@@HBV90 no, before i fix it. I blew in the mouth of the speaker then the air went in a small hole near the bass. But, I paste if with silicone so i cannot remove again.

For the sudden turning off can be the battery...Regarding the control buttons not working it can be the board or connection...

what is the actual playtime of this speaker? mine is just 4hrs at 75%volume. way off the claimed playtime of 12 hrs.

Please don't
