I’m just getting back into car audio and I think I’m going to go with JBL. I grew up in the night club industry and am now in it myself. My father has been running JBLs for 40 years. Right now my dance floor has 8 18s, 8 15s, 8 10s, 4 1inch horns, and 4 2 inch horns all JBL and that system is amazing. I know there not made in California like some of my older stuff but there name is something they have to live up to and not disappoint.

I remember the tweeter arrays from JBL at NYC clubs,clubs hardly use those anymore but it made such a difference I’m talking mid 80’s early 90’s

I know nothing about car audio. Went into Best Buy and encountered the most knowledgeable person I've ever spoken to in that store. He ran down the pros and cons of everything, like instantly knew what would be compatible. He recommended the JBLs. Said I could get something slightly better at the same price but these worked beautifully in my Nissan. Said with others I may have a loss of volume because they'd need more power. I didn't want a full system so I went with the JBL speakers. Absolutely happy with the decision. I tried torturing them with songs that were notorious for making my previous speakers rattle and they handled everything perfectly

I just listened to the JBL GX and the Kicker Series at Best Buy. The Kicker has more Bass and Mids. However The JBL won the contest. I liked the JBL overall. Amazon has them for $69 plus tax free ship. I'm not a prime member.

If you pick up a DB meter and play them at the same DB, it'll remove the "oh but it's 2 ohm" argument and specifically come down to how it sounds, period.

I use JBL everything. I swear by it. I just love love love the big bold sound they have. They sound alot bigger then they actually are, i rather watch movies in my car just cause the JBL system i have. I can listen to king kong for example and you feel everything and that movie has alot of loud sounds, i can watch live concerts and its sounds and feels so real. They just have oof that other speakers lack, i dont want to just hear my music, i want to feel it too

I been looking at these for awhile now. Gx628 or the club 6520. The gx is $17 cheaper. Which one will sound better on a factory head unit. I recently got sound ordnance speakers and it dropped the volume in half, I has hoping since its 2 ohms it will be as loud as the stock but with better clarity?

I went with 629Gtos in my sound bar and going with the clubs in the knee pods. I would go with the gto629s in the knee pods but they don't fit. The sound bar has been awesome, I hope these clubs hold up as well.

Put the JBLs in the doors of my Silverado. Awesome sounding speakers. Hands down better than the alpine type s. I will be buying the JBL 4x6s for the rear.

Because it always been put unfortunately I can’t use JBL speakers in my car because my car speakers are 4ohm and JBL car speakers are 2.3 ohm

JVC & Kenwood have merged for a while. Would be interesting to compare their equivalent priced speakers and if they perform the same or there is a slight edge. I noticed you pick out Kenwood a few times, not JVC.

JVC and Kenwood speaker divisions arent there main focus. JVC as far as car audio are converned mostly was Radios they have a few speakers but they pretty much been the same for years and years. JVC did make their Arsenal line of speakers which were very good but they ahve been discountinued for awhile now

JBL/HARMON KARDON PUTS OUT GREAT THEATER SOUND AND ACOUSTICS I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS WITH MY STAGE 2 604C 6.5" SPEAKERS ON A PIONEER HEAD UNIT NO AMP SO I KNOW I COULD BRING MORE OUT WITH THEM LOVE MY JBL THEY ALWAYS DID WELL EVEN BACK IN THE DAY LBVS

You guys shoulda been JBL fans back when the crown amplifiers dropped. Back when 8800 watts rms @ 4ohms was a thing. Harmon Kardon makes great speakers.

Some of the problems facing 4 way speaker designs is that the crossovers can become very complex. Furthermore a 2 way speaker has less frequencies to separate thus blends better in my opinion (obviously not referring to high end speakers).

Sounds like the 4 way has a better base. I'm thinking of using the 4 way as a component speaker it sounds so good.

Yo Mike, as i wrote in one of your videos, i bought the jbl club 622 four days ago, but i was disappointed how it sounded in my car (hemi durango) flat bass, my original ones sound better in terms of bass, i think to try alpine s65, lets see.

In terms of tweeter and mids yes, they sound very accurate, but maybe for rich bass i should mount a separate woofer box as in your case
