@@Technoid10 I always thought it was an awful idea because it seems it would mess with the audience retention rate and watch time. People skipping over parts instead of watching them. But I think it's possible you will actually gain watch time and audience retention because people will go to the part they want rather than leave the video together out of impatience. I'm making a November games video. Then on my December games video, I will do timestamps and see if I notice any difference.

Thanks for the comment. First i would say if you want surround sound or looking for something to be like a smart bar meaning soundbar and smart speaker combined i wouldn’t buy this. Not that its terrible but it wouldn’t be enough for it to fill your room. Second if you want the surround feel then two is mandatory. Third their are plenty of options to go for, but the best one i can recommend is the Sonos One: series. It has great quality audio, nicely sized and designed to give a full audio sound, Also if you want two they are sold in a pair at Costco and can save you money. But as a side note if your doing this for your tv i would also suggest looking at a sound-bar. They now have chrome cast support built in and airplay 2, but also they even have ones with google assistant built in. But it all comes down to preference and whatever you can afford. So if you want WiFi speakers I recommend the Sonos one:

Yes you need to have the google home app. In order for it to work it must be setup as a smart device

In the home app click the plus button and hit add accessories, then hit the i don’t have or scan and then tap the speaker wait for the speaker to be adored then you can set it up in the home app

First i want to disclaim that sound is subjective to many people we all have our preferences, the audio in the video really isn’t the best representation to base a decision while it helps its not definitive like listening to it in person. I definitely understand where your coming from but the JBL sound signature has been altered a bit making the bass less pronounced and making the vocals start to blossom. They should have a eq but the firmware updates have made adjustments as time passed. The echo while is balanced is muddy as it has to make up for all three different types of sound profiles while the JBL has the duel passive radiators and down firing transducer. But its understandable that the echo is not made for audiophiles

It is not portable. I said it in the video it is ment to only be plugged in. And yes you can group the speaker with other Google home apps

Maybe but the echo studio is geared towards high resolution audio and the jbl is for mostly average consumers. I would reccomend the studio only if you want the truly best otherwise if you want a better music player than the google home the link is more than enough

I'll answer it myself since I bought one. The speaker does not support "Spotify Connect" feature of Spotify. If you want to connect to spotify, you can use Chromecast or Airplay to do so.

@@tsaidan5981 I have one myself and I too have been using connect. Try maybe updating the firmware in the speaker and see if they added it to yours cause I’ve been rocking connect for a while

You can’t it has to be plugged at all times it’s a home smart speaker not portable at all

Well thats why your able to make calls, your phone is connected to it via Bluetooth. If your phone isn’t connected you cant send messages or even call. Only thing you can do is use the duo feature but that’s about it. It transfers duo calls but thats about it so while your not wrong it’s just you found a way around it.

Im sure he was referring to the Google Assistant, but he didn't clarify. So i see both points.

I can call without my speaker being connected to Bluetooth I just linked the contacts but not with Bluetooth and I don’t use google duo

@@drbomdaydayboms4890 ok i think your getting confused with this product so let me clarify a few things and don’t worry ill be doing an update on this speaker very soon but this is not a Bluetooth speaker by default it is intended to be a Smart home speaker that works with Google devices. JBL just makes the hardware inside the issues your having all direct to google. The reason is because this product is a licensed google assistant product designed for androids but with iOS capabilities. However, the issues your having with the app, the setups etc are not on JBL, its google. This is a prime example of restricted licensing from a company that allows third parties to use their services. Basically google is the reason why the speaker is not doing as well and why it’s suffering because Google controls all of the smart capabilities because it’s linked with Google assistant JBL has no say or control over what happens with the smart technology of it they are just involved with putting the drivers in tuning it and building it google is the one that has caused this product to be so held back and restricted. It’s a reason why they make you buy the Google Home or nest home over products like this because they want you to buy their product I just hope you understand that this is not a JBL problem this is instead Google because they’re restricting what you can and can’t do with the speaker but make no mistake this is intended to be a Wi-Fi speaker like the Sonos speakers it does have open Bluetooth but it Hass to be connected to the Internet and plugged in at all times at home and is intended to be an android product and once again this is because of googles licensing with Google assistant

JBL so maybe google is in controll there was no reason for be that way and also what is smart about it? Had they said on the box you have to buy a youtube pro to change tracks and so on then i would had taken your reason about its just google man. But nope its also JBL cuz they hug google and make this scam for them.
