1- it has eq so more bass can be added 2- don’t want a resonance box like soundcore and tribit Bass is enough in this unit

All the 3 band eq does is lower everything relative to the bass

You can increase bass with an equalizer, but the max wattage is what determines max bass. You can’t increase wattage.

Not sure how old this is but yes id say worth paying the £250 especially getting a 3yr warranty especially with my lucky

I just received my new Extreme 3. I paid $230 for it. It would not update and I had to connect it via USB to a Windows computer, download the update tool, and it worked. I agree, it does not have as much bass I expected. I have a Charge 5 and it sounds bass heavy for it's size. I expected the same for the Extreme 3. Maybe the drivers need to break-in awhile? I will boost the bass on the EQ.

@@jonathangarcia6407 I tried it and it’s turns on the JFM, but the bass went down. Leave your speaker how it came and you’ll be alright 👍🏼

It’s not a LFM mode it’s service mode, that turns off protection meaning you can overpower your speaker and possibly blow the drivers

Nope. That speaker doesn't have LFM mode since it has eq. You can up the bass using the eq. They got rid of LFM mode on newer JBL speakers that have eq... I tryed to do LFM mode on my flip 6 but it didn't work.

i have the jbl xtreme 3 and the jbl boombox 3. and on the jbl boombox 3 have much bigger passive bass radiators. and when i look on the jbl xtreme 3. its like wow that passive bass radiators are small

Yes but you only need the radiator to outbalance the drivers like the charge are far smaller than the extreme 3

False. 2 charge 5s will give you more sound coverage but the better quality sound does not appear by merely doubling the source

My harman kardon onyx 6 sounds better in my opinion I have a jbl extreme 3 and I compared them and the extreme 3 gets louder but doesn't have deep enough bass, it has bass but not deep bass

After the JBL Extreme 2 I think their portable speakers went downhill in quality. So my next upgrade will be with a Sony speaker 👍🏼

@@cheekysod2 I would I listened to the Extreme 3 in Best Buy and it does not compare at all with the Extreme 2. Bass is so much better on the Extreme 2. Had that bad boy since it’s release and if I could still find it in store I’d buy another if mine breaks. (Charging cord is close to the end of its lifespan 😂) I’d recommend the E2 over any other JBL portable speaker 🤷🏻‍♂️

@WATL awesome. Was thinking of buying the e2 as its on discount for £150 with free earbuds (jblwave200). Was going to get the charge 5, but it didn't have an auxiliary input like the x2

xtreme 2 good durability
