So this is the Soundcore Motion X600, Now personally I feel that this is a fairly impressive speaker, its fairly affordable, its a plus sized medium speaker, I think it looks elegant, but more importantly, I think it sounds good and I think the upwards firing driver does wonders. Nonetheless, today we’re going to see how to motion X600 stacks up to the JBL Charge 5 and the JBL Xtreme 3.

Uff, the X600 sounds much more clear than the Xtreme. But the X600 just sounds so good, and it's much cheaper, I would buy it over the Xtreme and get a Flip 6 for constantly carrying around in my backpack with the leftover money lol

For my ears the X600 sounds more clear and open but I feel like it’s bass almost sounds tinny and I like how the bass sounds on the Xtreme 3 even though it doesn’t sound as clear it sounds more fuller than the X600, so personally the Xtreme 3 won me over.

I love the extreme 3 i have one now for 3 months and i use it almost every day (i just love jbl) the flip 4 was also great and soon i will have my hands on a partybox 310

I got the extreme 3 for around the house, i have the boombox 3 for work, and my mancave is partybox 110 and 710! They all are great just depends on your use case.

By far the most thorough and informative speaker reviews & comparisons. Love ‘em. You address the info points that I’m actually digging for. For example: how the JBL’s only support SBC and the x600 supports AAC & LDAC. Also, JBL’s can support stereo but ONLY if they’re the same speaker. Ironically I use my x600 with a flat EQ, but enable bass up and spacial audio. For me that combination is perfect whether Maynard ferguson, Pink Floyd or Steely Dan, chicago, Earth wind & fire 🔥 etc. Best thing about using flat EQ with bass up on this unit, you can turn the volume nearly all the way up without distortion, maintaining clear bass..

Dude. Yours are the videos we are waiting for. We know you tend not to be a fanboy, so we get what is really happening, but you always go the extra mile and cover all the bases with the headphones and speakers. Thanks for doing this - just what we needed. I am intrigued by this speaker. I have a pair of Bang and Olufsen A1 Gen 2 speakers - how does it compare? I am really interested in hearing how the spatial audio is handled. You have heard many Bluetooth speakers in stereo pairs - how do you think they fare against this speaker? Also - how does it do as a replacement soundbar for a TV or a soundbar for an iPad? I'm interested in hearing how it fares with movies as that is where the spacial audio will come into its own. I would love to know what you think.

This one is probably not so good for movies, speakers are really close to eachother and that upward firing speaker doesnt give you that spatial sound that youd get in headphones or soundbars, because it is a single driver. That driver will make it sound bigger/wider but not in terms of left/right seperation, it will just increase the “size” of the sound🤷‍♂️

@@nicabc This makes total sense. Thanks for sharing that. I just saw on the Soundcore website that two can be paired. I wonder if that would provide more of the "big" sound. Each device would be responsible for one channel each in stereo pairing more but would be able to give that joint spatial experience - I hope at least. It would mean that there would be 10 drivers in total. Now I know it doe snot have a subwoofer, and the low end would lack rumble, but I really wonder, given that it would directly involve 2 upward-firing drivers, if that would make the difference. Some Dolby Atmos-compatible soundbars only have 2 upward-firing drivers, so I wonder if that combo would be effective. I am almost tempted to test it just to see what happens. Haha.

@@iu1191 yeah with two of those it might get even cooler but i dont know to what extent are they optimised for dolby atmos in stereo mode. What i mean by that is, will it actually mimic the effects of a soundbar that has spatial sound or will it just play like it did but in stereo, basically, will it actually use dolby magic sound tuning effects to take advantage of those upward firing speakers to get the 360 degree effect? I mean if you have the opportunity to get two of those, might as well try, especially if you can just return them if not satisfied.

On the X600 you can also wirelessly connect two first to use for stereo separation and use the aux input at the same time if you wanted to connect to a turntable with a preamp, or an older tv or anything that has an aux and enjoy sound in true stereo. They’re not perfect per se but worth the investment if quality sound is what you’re after. The LDAC does make a difference, like on an LG V60…

The closer the better, usually if they are on each sides of the room its going to work perfectly.

I have the charge 5 and x600. I can pair both to my s24 and do stereo sound. Out the box for the price I'd go charge 5, especially if ur taking it with you, literally anywhere. I found the x600 to be about 20% louder than the charge 5. Out the box the x600 sounded weak, but once i tweaked the eq, it sounded better than the charge 5 but not by much. Id say if ur only buying 1 and taking it to the beach or mountains, get the charge 5 hands down. If its sitting around the pool or in your backyard or home, maybe get the x600. I only kept my x600 bc I pair it with my charge 5 and around the pool it gives me great all around sound. Also got the x600 for 150$. At 200$ it's not worth it at all, when u can get a charge 5 for atleast 139 and even 119

Not sure when you put your pricing up, but the motion x600 regularly goes on sale for $150 on Amazon. At that price point is comparable in price to the Bose flex. By far and away a better value than either of those JBL's.

@@alanrossreviews hey Alan. It’s a peculiar speaker for sure. Placement is crucial to get the best sound from it and I’m constantly adjusting the equalizer. They definitely should make a larger version with twice the power.

For me you cant push the bass as it heavily distorts. How do you find that? Some have noted the same but others think it does deep bass. Im wondering if there are quality issues

@@alanrossreviews sometimes it plays deep without distortion and on certain jazz tunes you can hear some slight distortion but nothing major. Your unit may have a issue. Would soundcore replace it even though it’s a pre release unit? They had a problem with first release of the motion boom plus so ……

If you want indoor speaker get the charge 5..for outdoors get the xtreme3.. facts is that the bass of xtreme3 is too much inside the house.. charge 5's bass on the other hand when outdoors is a bit weak.. also xtreme3 has wider soundstage so it's a great speaker for outdoors

Charge 5 is more punchy and more balanced. Xtreme 3 goes deeper but is annoyingly V-shaped.

It’s bc of the mic, you can hear that the room is more filled with the soundcore. The extreme is maybe more bass, but I think that is not always the best. Bc more bass is only nice with rap and maybe techno etc, but the soundcore is really good at Spatial Audio, (really nice at mid volume when there are people over)

The x600 is amazing below 50% volume but its bass absolutely SUCKS SHIT when you crank the volume up. It starts to sound like a $20 bluetooth speaker. For instrumental and low volume its the absolute best. Its crazy how they made it like this, is it that hard to give it a more powerful bass? The soundcore motion boom's bass blows it out of the water. Even the soundcore motion + has a better base when turned up loud. I dont know how anker screwed up the bass of the x600 THIS HARD.

Yes, you can get a Bluetooth module for your PC (something like AX210) or a nice motherboard, which already has one. Then you'll need the "Alternative A2DP Driver" app so that you can choose the protocol/quality settings, as the OS still doesn't have this feature. I use a setup like this with my ldac tws and it works fine.

Got mine today and totally NOT worth the hype!!! There must be a lot reviewers in Soundcore's pockets! 🙁 Anyone with an ounce of journalistic integrity and morality would agree....This is not the best speaker of 2023. Spatial audio?....not really....there appears to be so much hype and so much over exaggeration with regards to this feature. Loud? No, One of my Minirig3' smashes the X600...I won't even talk about a minirig 2.1 set up as this is somewhat more expensive than a single X600, so not a fair comparison. Without spatial audio and bass boost on the speaker sounds so poor!😮 This is so wrong as speaker worth any credit needs to sound great out of the box and sound even better with these features turned on. The Soundcore boffins need to get back in the lab 🧪🧫 and release a firmware update that sorts out the sound / EQ issues. That's my personal unpaid for feedback on my initial experience with the X600....Hope it helps ❤

Go with the EXTREME 3. For 2 reasons, you can get it cheaper online, & when you plug it into a wall socket, you're going from 50 -60 watts in battery mode, to 100 watts in A/C MODE. Also, the charging cable has a USB - C connection on one end, & an A/C wall plug on the other end. To make a long story short, you can charge multiple Bluetooth speakers & phones with this " one " charger " at your disposal. I hope this helped.

Well not actually in all cases i searched alot and after listening to many comparisons sony xb43 is better than jbl charge 5 in higher vol and open stage with detailed tones and separation as they for same price almost .. but when you compare it to extreme 3 the jbl blew sony xb43 for sure but note it has double the price also

Anker speakers are better in price and more versatile it has EQ most of its product while JBLare more expensive and most has no EQ ...both sound quality are same good....Anker has partycast mode just like JBL partyboost.....Anker can connect 100+ speakers old models can connect with the new models....unlike JBL connct plus cannot connect with partyboost speakers....overall Anker is better....

Sound core x600: You're supposed to roll off JBL You're supposed to get rolled off the table JBL Xtreme 3: it's impossible to roll me off and I'm also as tough as hell Even after like 100,000 ft drop I'm still fine sound core x600: if you think I'm just a speaker we can just use a hammer and smack you right off the table JBL Xtreme 3: Don't you even know that I'm indestructible as hell that was this JBL durability test a JBL's durability test I got a past 10/10000000000000 durability score JBL charge 5: two speakers in one just kick the charge 5 up so light just press just put it in the trunk and it will roll off of the car

@@HungTran-wf3gu it really comes down to your needs and taste. charge 5 much more knockable and travel friendly. You could end up on any one of the 7 different tunings currently out there. if you dont get distortion issues id go x600 but for me i have distortion on both my units making the x600 unusable.

То что вам не нравится jbl это не значит что они плохие. У меня есть charge 5 в версии nd. Звук чистый, в отличии от всяких "убийц" jbl по типу tronsmart, и одновременно ещё и с хорошим басом, пришлось правда немного поиграться с эквалайзером чтобы бас сделать более объемным и высокие немного подкорректировал. Слушаю в основном колонку на 6-8 делений т.к. громкости очень много(для такого форм фактора). А рок вообще прекрасно играет даже по умолчанию, нету каши как у китайских аналогов. Объема колонки к статьи для квартиры хватает с головой, ожидал в этом плане намного худшего. И качество материалов тоже достойное.
