After 6 videos, some made my Chamberlain that tell you to adjust the open/close stops but don't tell how, I finally found your video that describes the process very clearly. Thanks!!

Great explanation and this was much easier to follow than any other video out there or with the manual. Our garage door always sounded like it slammed shut and then would pop loudly when opening. Your explanation of the track bending helped me visualize the issue and fix the open and close distances perfectly. Thanks!

What made this a 10/10 is how you’ve figured out how to ‘bump’ adjust it up or down. For the better part of a year I’ve tried adjusting it up and down through the manual instructions. Problem was too much downforce when closed causing bow, and when pressing close in the fully open position it would jolt and shock itself and revert to open again. Super annoying. Thanks for demonstrating that bump adjusting is actually permissible with this opener. Problem = solved!

No sweat, thanks for the comment. I am not sure why they don't put these instructions on the opener itself though.

I use this for a gate opener and took about 20 tries to get the closed position exact. It didn't open as much as I wanted but I didn't want to have to nail the closed position perfectly again so I left it in a less than ideal open position. This fine tune adjustment is huge! Now I can go get it perfect. Thank you.

Awesome video. After you set the up and close limit that second run of the opener, what that’s doing is setting the force, how much muscle the opener needs to open and close the door
@jcx2bby6 жыл бұрын
Garagedoorpro20, thank you for the info, these newfangled openers are SO much better than old ones from years ago. Our old opener woke our daughter up if we used it. She never moves with the B730 in action!

Chamberlain is an amazing company. They are super super reliable and easy to repair. If you ever wanted to, Liftmaster has the 880LM smart wall button. It tells the time/temperature, and if anything goes wrong with the opener, it displays the issue on the wall button.

Thanks dude. Tons of vids on here where you have to use a screwdriver to adjust, but none where you have to use buttons (we’ve got the same opener). Much thanks. Idk if you’re having the same problem, but for some reason when the power goes out, I’ve always got to re-adjust my opener. Weird. 🤔
