"Ed Litton was elected the next president of the Southern Baptist Convention with 52% of the vote compared to 47% for Mike Stone. Stone and others on the right wing of the SBC spent months decrying the incursions of woke ideologies into evangelicalism (especially critical race theory), but their resolution to denounce CRT was defeated. Before the vote on the resolutions, J.D. Greear spoke out against those who want a convention that would police the roles of women. Greear also warned against an SBC that spends more energy decrying critical race theory than the devestating consequences of racial discrimination" (Paraphrase from Washington Post). #Shorts

Run from the SBC as fast as you can. The goal is the purity of the church .

I only listen to JD Greear, Allister Begg and David Jeremiah. I sense they were truly called by God. Not one of these gifted men are going to escape the jealousy of other preacher…since their following speaks volumes. Sure, they are imperfect and have made errors ,but once they do , these men are on their knees asking God to forgive them. Remember Peter?

I spoke at the convention at the mike today and told them, “I am only going to tell you the reality of this convention. The church I pastor will not give another dime here until the NAMB and ERLC are thoroughly investigated and transparent with their finances and what they spend money on!” I was told I was out of order, to which I replied, “I don’t care about your order or all the details, I’m just telling you what the reality is, and reality is that we will no longer cooperate or give and I know that we are not alone.”

@@Richardcontramundum I spoke right before the attorney was brought up on stage, which was absolutely ridiculous. Every single person on that stage for the last three days should be ashamed of themselves.

@@Richardcontramundum I’ll email you tomorrow around lunch time when I am back in my office. We are driving home. I am trying to create an alternative for Christians who believe the Bible is sufficient to share our experiences with the SBC and detail according to Scripture why we can no longer cooperate with institutions that promote abominations.

Reason why we left our church, 3yrs.ago, pastor refused to see the corruption in the SBC. JDGREEAR was a heretic, and totally against the sound teachings of the Holy scriptures of God's Word. Reason SBC sunk was pastors would not take a stand, swept the doctrinal issues under the rug. We saw and researched what was taking place, brought before the pastor, decons ,and they refused to hear. The consequences are evident now, God's judgment starts with the church, we are there. God's church doesn't need the SBC to preach ,teach the gospel. We are at a time where the return of Jesus is drawing near, we must live for Christ. Share His Salvation message till He Comes. People need to focus on what matters at this point, for people to get on the life boat of God's Son who died for all so we can have everlasting life through Christ our Savior. SBC sunk long ago , ....we as God's people reach the lost and keep our lamps full. Maranatha!!!🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊

So glad to not be in the SBC anymore. Everyone has to pick their line, but as far as I can tell, it’s time to jump ship. Hopefully, the more Biblical and brave members of the SBC will start their own convention.

I hear that as an SBC pastor myself. I say I will stay for now. 2017 and 18 were more or less easy and normal. It was 19 that caused issues. 21 was better in the sense that twice as many people showed up. I plan to wait a year and see what is done truthfully on the grassroots. And hold the feet of Akin, Mohler and many others who denounce CRT

The corruption in the SBC extends to almost all if not all of its institutions and on very deep levels. My allegiance is to Christ not a denomination. Fighting to save a denomination is not the same as fighting to save the Church. God is handing the SBC over to its own depravity, sooner than later. The Biblical illiteracy and apathy among most conservatives is mind boggling. The promotion of false teachers through LifeWay is sickening and Pastors are allowing that content into their churches. If we’re honest, the conservative resurgence was the last chance to take back the SBC. Satan’s useful idiots are far more passionate about evil and destruction than lukewarm casual Christians are about knowing God much less contending for the Faith. Large churches in urban areas have gone woke and smaller churches in rural areas are indifferent. Just a couple of weeks ago during a prayer meeting at a church I attended someone suggested we pray about the annual meeting. The associate pastor knew there was a meeting but did not know the dates. He knew there were some serious issues being voted on but didn’t know what they were nor did he seem to care. Instead of fasting and praying with a sense of urgency it got tucked between this person’s knee surgery and that person’s sick cousin and only because a member mentioned it. I just don’t see that changing. I’m out.

You are a wicked man! The church is different from the culture the church has to stand up and speak for everyone …..the saved and convince the sinner that he is lost. Critical race theory must be denounced And Christian women must be taught their place and agree willfully to stay in it which is outside of the pulpit…..teaching other women and children. What is wrong with you?

Maybe I'm getting you wrong but the man in the video agrees the church is to be separate from the world and he is making a point that the SBC is NOT separate, which explains why they voted the way they did this week.
