I’m a pretty new listener and this may be the very first bit I’d ever heard. I was hooked. This rant went on for way longer than what’s shown here and I could not get out of the car. Howard was so brilliant and hilarious here.

People upset about Howard acting this way have no clue how the show works. He took JD and literally gave him a life worth living. Everything from him getting a girlfriend (who is a SUPER fan btw) and all the dates and what not leading up to this was done on air. Howard is in the business for ratings and juicy stories. I fully understand the concept of wanting a personal life. But when you are a semi-regular personality on the most successful show in the history of broadcasting, you give up the right of private stories. If you don’t like it, take the Will Murray approach, keep it low key, only on air rarely, and your life won’t be heavily advertised.
