Exclusively produced for the Japanese domestic market the Honda NSX Type R was a limited production model.
Considered the Holy Grail of Hondas we celebrate both the NA1 and NA2 Type R and their rise to legendary status...

I think the automotive world reached a pinnacle at the end of the 90s. After there it was all downhill. Being honest, I think cars mirror society. Cars up to and especially *of* the 90s were "much prettier". Yes they were simpler too, but not "simple". They were still hugely engineered in an era which nearly had all it wanted *or needed* from technology. Though I grew up in the 70s and 80s and loved the passion, flare and rawness of everything, when the 90s brought increased refinement and precision in EVERYTHING, without losing the raw form (inc cars, songs, films, culture, politics), and what was right, and true, I tipped my hat to it and said "We are here at last. We have more than enough. Now we have to develop ourselves more."

I always looked to the NSX as one of the most beautiful cars ever made, specially the exterior of course. Although the interior I also thought it was ahead of its time, and almost 30 years later imo it looks better than 90% of the interiors we see nowadays. And I always dreamed of this car with that alcantara interior, but I've never seen one before, so... I blame Torque GT for making me want to have one of these ever more :D

You let the cars do the talking and let the cars take the limelight and say what we need to hear, unlike today's tv presenters with their egos and joking around! I drove a Zanardi edition NSX here in the USA. It was the closest we got to a NSX-R. It was way better then a regular NSX and definitely a more driver car then the NSX-T. (:
@Vision33r
@Vision33r 6 жыл бұрын
We'll never see cars like this or the old Integra Type R ever again, today car makes rather put out cars with insane HP but heavy and teched out interiors. E90 M3 was the Type R edition of the M3, later on every M3 gotten HP increases and so was the weight and technology inside. No car maker goes back to the basics and just make a lightweight good handling sports car that rewards people that want to drive without all the tech to sort things out for you. Subaru BRZ/AE86 is the closest to that if it had 300HP.
@pawg206
@pawg206 5 жыл бұрын
Vision33r if that’s the case the brz/gt86 should start off at 14k base price for not having power or tech. Yet a mustang gt base model is the same price as a brz. It’s reason why nobody likes getting into cars with less power and tech it’s not worth it.
