This song is about leaving the family nest and becoming independent to follow your own dreams. The original singer Sardou and then Louane who does a great reinterpretation of this song, both left their home very young to poursuit their dream of becoming singers. It’s a very optimistic song even though it’s hard to change cities/ countries and leave your family behind. Have a great happy day everyone.

It's not "il y a une gare et une autre gare", it's "il n'y a gare une autre gare" which means "there isn't another station (no comeback)".

La premiere fois j'ai entendu cette chanson il y a quelques nuits je pensais que elle était une chanson de mariage 😅 Enfin j'ai cherché les paroles parce que je comprennais seulement la partie primaire de la chanson. Puis j'ai aviseé que cette fille allais se tuer et j'étais choqué 😭

I got the suicide message once I read the lyrics. such a beautiful song but so sad. Quand je lisait les paroles de la chanson, je comprennais tout a coupe que la fille va se tuer. La chanson tres belle, mais si triste. (Attempting to translate the above. French is my third language. I hope I haven't murdered it).
