Two of my favourite martial artists and action actors of my childhood. It's pity, theren't a good movie with them playing togheter or fight against each other. Certainly, there was Missing in Action and The Expendables 2, but isn't the same thing.😢

Van Damme would win in my opinion. Chuck may have more experience but Van Damme had a more powerfull body and in better shape,he would be faster and less predictable if he used kickboxing. Van Damme is one of the best martial artists of all time.

I love the picture of Van Damme from the thumbnail that came from around 2004 when he was preparing to do the movie called karate or kumite and I wish to heck he had gotten that movie done cuz he got back to the great kind of physical shape that we wanted to see on screen and I saw a video of him during that same photo shoot where he was doing some really awesome kicks.

They are both legends, Chuck Norris is a master, very skilled and holds many black belts and also has experience not just in the Martial Arts but also in the air force, so logically you would think id pick Chuck. I have high respect for Chuck and also a fan but I have to go with JCVD, the man has some of the most lethal kicks ever, I think just because of his flexibility and his leg power that he has a better advantage because he could easily keep Chuck from getting too close with just his kicks alone. Van Damme has high respect and honor for Chuck tho and they are good friends so it came down to it, Van Damme wouldn't even want to fight Chuck, but I'm going with JC, sorry but he some of the most powerful and gracefully kicks ever, and he was even sued for almost kicking a guys eye out during filming the movie Cyborg, the man was a beast in his prime. My parents took us to see Breaker Breaker at a movie theater on 42nd st in NYC. We were so impressed n really enjoyed the movie because the fighting appeared more realistic and or different in comparison to all those Kung Fu movies we were so used to seeing at the Fortydeuce!

Well, surely Chuck Norris is a big shot and master in many different style and categories. But just look at Van Damme's shape in No Retreat, No Surrender, Blood Sport and Kickboxer. Fantabulous. Right. Kicks are very precise, fast and powerful and talking about stretching it is unbelievable. Just imagine such kick hitting the head or something else. In that respect it is very difficult to really judge who's gonne be the winner in real fight. But definetely Van Damme's action is watched much more impressive on the screen. By the way Bruce Lee did not have any belts or titles but no doubts that he was a Great Master of Kung Fu.

Its not the martial arts you know, it's how you use it. I think both are great and wouldn't want to step in the ring with either. But since I'm Siamese I'm going to give a light edge to JCVD for this one. Muay Thai is a practical martial art.

Chuck would win, hands down. He has a lot more martial arts skills than JCVD, who holds a 2nd dan black belt in Shotokan karate and had done some kickboxing. Shotokan karate and kickboxing are no match for BJJ, an art in which Chuck holds a 3rd dan ranking. I believe the reason Chuck started studying BJJ is because he and Rickson Gracie took up a sparring challenge back in the late 1980s after Chuck invited the Gracie family to his martial arts convention that he hosted. Rickson took him down very quickly, applying a choke until Chuck passed out. In fact, Chuck was one of the catalysts in spreading the word about BJJ and the Gracie family in the United States. Even at his current age (82), he's still very dangerous!

van damme is legit but of course norris is more proven, on film though van damme owns everyone, he just had a way with his flexibility and footwork and the look and all that, really special dude, really powerful legs, I don't think people understand how rare of a human he is, that combo of strength training-ballet-karate, (he was mr. belgium in bodybuilding) he could really whip those legs, real fighting is totally different though, chuck had hands, van damme had a great fight record and it would have been interesting if he'd kept at it but he definitely chose the right path, people talk about bruce lee but could he even take a punch? it all changes when you're punched in the face, norris had that killer instinct, the one bad thing about van damme is didn't seem to evolve like the other fighters, less disciplined because of his bipolar issue that led to drugs, chuck, bruce, michael jai, they really live the martial arts life
