Dark Phoenix definitely had a lot of issues, but I really like the way they showed off her powers in that film tbh, i.e. eyes glowing, glowing cracks in her skin, hair floating, etc.

Yeah, I like how she is potrayed as always on the verge of breaking but still doing her best to hold it in herself but when they disturbed her peace she will lose control and release the energy she try to hold inside. It is logical to think that she is the best vessel for the phoenix force in the term that her body did not disintegrate easily but the overflow power is leaking everytime making her having hard time focusing on control and she tend to lose her mind. It is also safe to assume that the glowing crack on her skin is a sign that her body is breaking but her regeneration work faster than the damage so her body did not break down but in the final she use a lot of the phoenix force power making it almost impossible for the regeneration to be effective so she had no choice but to give up her body but her spirit is still alive in the form of a phoenix

Wasn’t this girl the most powerful marvel character in the entire marvel comics? I feel like the live action movies have only shown 10% of her powers. Hope she returns to the MCU.

She's one of of If not the most powerful telepath in the marvel comics, she's one of the most powerful telepaths in the comics. I agree she is very underplayed with what we've seen in the live action. Especially her needing to 'trigger' her phoenix force to hone Cyclops's blast back when she's just been able to do it all on her own with no stress in the comics but that's usually what live action's do. They down play characters in the movies because It would be too OP for the movies.

I'm sorry but she (along with magneto) rebuilt a whole mansion with her powers? Now that's amazing. All the bolts, screws, etc. and also some engineering knowledge! not to mention multitasking because she can focus on many materials at once. How did they coordinate with each other? Did she use telepathy on magneto so they could coordinate how they build?

NO ONE can absorb and utilise complete power of Phoenix force.......Literally NO ONE Can, except Jean Grey. That is the reason, Phoenix force is drawn to her because she is the only perfect host. for me i like the x3 more than dark phoenix movie (2019) itself.. on how they show the "dark phoenix".. as the real dark phoenix, Jean has loss her consciousness, and the phoenix itself who took control, including talking.. in Dark Phoenix movie, it just unstable Jean with the cosmic power, we didn't see anything like the real Phoenix as it is the entity that can talk.. also noted that in the ending of dark phoenix movie, jean can control the phoenix... in comics, when she can control the phoenix, she became the white phoenix of the crown which is the another level of character (second only to the one above all) ..

In the vacuum of space, before she got the Phoenix force, how was she breathing and not freezing to death? Her powers can't explain that. Maybe she could create a bubble of oxygen around herself with telekinesis (with oxygen from the blackbird), but what about the freezing temperatures❓️❓️

I hope when Marvel introduces Jean Grey to the MCU they make her more like the X-Men: Evolution version of the character (i.e. intelligent, compassionate & badass, but not the main focus of the team). I definitely hope they avoid they Dark Phoenix arc tho - it's been done enuff, & it's too similar to Wanda's arc anyway.

It doesn't matter which came first in the comics - Wanda *just* went through a similar dark arc, so doing the Dark Phoenix arc w/ Jean would just feel repetitive (especially since the Fox films already did it twice as well). Personally, I'd prefer her in a supporting role rather than being the main character this time around - I want them to focus more on characters like Cyclops, Storm, Iceman, Shadowcat, etc, & let them reach their full potential, rather than just relegating them to being characters in Jean's story. Plus, I prefer Jean Grey over the Dark Phoenix anyway.

it's kinda funny to see in live action how they look up when flying. Into nothingness. Sure, you gotta make sure that you won't fly into a power line or roof but most of the times, I'd look down to make sure no one follows me or no one is pointing a gun rdy at me lmao. I pray that mcu gives Jean greys character justice seriously the studio failed her every single time ALL her powers has not been properly displayed or never used EVER!!! I kinda hope they turn away from this with MCU Jean, the trope that female super heroes need to be “unstable” to be powerful is kinda getting tiring, even if its entertaining to see. Want her to be at her most powerful when she’s in control.

Earlier in the movie Vuk said that it was Jean’s destiny to evolve into the greatest force in the galaxy. She merged with it, destroying her human body and evolved into the Phoenix Force.
