DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES LET YOUR SOON TO BE SPOUSE SIGN UNDER DURESS. If they are too stressed, tired, overwhelmed, dealing with grief, etc., then the deadline for the prenuptial should be postponed to a later date. If your wedding is approaching but the prenuptial deadline has been postponed, then your wedding will have to be postponed to at least 30 days after the new deadline for the prenuptial. 5.) If you want to go the extra mile, have your spouse sign an agreement that they are in their sound mind, have read and comprehended the contract, and they are not under any kind of duress on the day of the signing. 6.) Make sure to have each segment of the prenuptial FAIR AND INCLUSIVE of the other party. If not, then find out the hard way and get your prenuptial thrown out in court.

That’s not true. Prenups can be invalidated if signed under duress. Signing 5 days prior could suggest that you tried to sneak a prenup in at the last minute when a person is probably incredibly busy in hopes they won’t fully read and understand all the terms. While at the same time feeling pressured to sign because everything is paid for and everyone is expecting a wedding. That’s why they tell you to do it months prior.
