Must have been special for both ladies, Lorrie has always looked up to Jeannie since a young girl. There voices blend so great together. Jeannies voice is so unique. Raspy and rough but so pure and authentic

I had the privilege of seeing Skeeter in Virginia in early 70`s, speakers were in trees, shack was stage, Hank Williams Jr was there(pre-accident), Duke of Paducah, several others, great show, nobody cared how it was presented, either you love country music or you dont, Skeeter seemed to be a sweet soul...good times...Hank played every instrument on the stage, what can you say when youve seen the legends?

In 1966 I had a Herman's Hermits record with "The End of the World" on it. "Herman" was 18 years old, an English teenybopper idol who sang covers, and, in retrospect, he had some great tunes. We moved that year into a rental house where somebody had left behind some country records. One of them was The Davis Sisters. I think that's when I went from absent-mindedly liking the kind of country that played on pop stations in the South, to liking the kind of country you had to intend to listen to, or you never heard it.

We were fortunate to get to see Skeeter Davis at the Grand Old Opry once, Jeannie Seely was also there that night. I wish that we could have seen Lorrie Morgan that night too. Jeannie and Lorrie did a marvelous just on this Skeeter Davis hit 🤠

I didn't "know" Skeeter Davis. I did know who she was and I used to wait on her when I was a cashier at the Kroger in Brentwood, TN (a suburb of Nashville) in the early -mid 90's. She was always smiling and always very nice. I wish I could have gotten to really know her.
