Hello 👋🏻
My name is Tanya and I’m visiting Saudi Arabia by my own. I came from Kyiv.
I enjoy great weather and sea.
Surprised why I can’t swim in the city.
Usually when I am traveling by my own I go to nice hotels for coffee of tea and enjoy nice view.
Unfortunately Ritz in Jeddah does have a balcony :)

Interesting to see how this works today in Saudi, and how you manage to go to places. I worked in Saudi as well as on the other side of the Red Sea in Egypt. There is a big change as to what you can do today. This would have been impossible some 10 or 20 years ago. Unmarried women of any age were not allowed to enter.

Yes, here is changed a lot since 2019 Country is open for tourism :)

I always thouht that even foreigners had to wear a veil or head scarf in Saudi Arabia maybe this just changed? In Iran these days it's common to see women without veil or head scarf.Better not face punishment there normally its prison or being whipped.Better not to take any risks.

Pryvit Tanya So cool to see how an amazing place you are. Can I ask how expensive hotel is ? Looks expensive. You also look very nice, and your dress also. I'm wondering why swimming is not permitted there at that beach. Can you find out why? All I can think of are the local custom where they dont want people in swimsuits and where they hide scantily clad women, or pollution at beach (unlikely) or perhaps dangerous underwater currents called rip tides where people are easily drowned. Awesome place to relax. Would be very nice to be there. Looking forward to seeing what you do on next day. Slava Ukraini!

Hello:) Good hotels are around 200 euros I looked for hotel with access to the private beach (45 min from city center) is 600€ 🫠 So I lived in Jeddah and went to swim in private beach.(complicated system there) Public beach no one swimming, and showing their body. Especially women. I’m wearing everything long or leggings in the city

Pryvit Tanya, Hopefully you are doing well and you didnt go swimming at that beach where it is not allowed. It's not worth the risk plus whatever penalty there is. Looking forward to updates on your visit in Jeddah!
