The lore reason why we don't often see the force used on other force sensitive (as far as choke, pull/push, stealing lightsabers etc) is because early lessons for both jedi and Sith revolve around creating a force shield around oneself to wars off against such things. It's featured quite a bit in the Bane novels in particular. The temple guards would have had these same force shields around themselves for the entirety of their watch for obvious reason, so the likelihood of Anakin choking them like that is low. Even if the brute forced it and smashed through the shield of one to the point where he could choke them out. The others around would be immediately alerted and strengthen their own. Temple guards just weren't in the directors minds back then. Either because they didn't want them or they weren't a thing yet

I like to think the Grand Inquisitor was called by Palpatine to wipe out the other guards. Grand Inquisitor called a meeting and trapped every guard into a room where he killed the majority of them with a high voltage that ran through the floor or toxic gas. A small number of them managed to break out of the room but the GI waited just outside and finished them off. It was all done quickly and quietly and then a few minutes later we get the arrival of Anakin and the clones.

if they can somehow make the Legends one merged with the Canon one it will help make sense why a lot managed to escape the purge of the temple, cos in Legends, the Temple Guards together with the blaster armed security force(forgot their name) of the temple held them out long enough that some others managed to escape before the clones pushed them into the lower levels iirc and Anakin killed them all

@mrchickenstrips8921 the yuuzhon vong are the most interesting arc in star wars to me, and was the biggest thing I was looking forward to, especially in the Clone wars show. Telling me my favorite arc is in the original Canon, makes it better to me 🤣 An extra-galactic Warrior species that's traveled the universe for millennia and are so evil that even the force has utterly abandoned them is cool² lol and the opening of Lockdown which has Maul fighting one to the death was awesome

no just look how anakin one handed cin drallig anakin was the third more powerful jedi just behind yoda and mace and with mace death he was the second more powerful plus the darkside amped his powers far beyond his limit putting him close to yoda if he was concentrated/no conflicted

no emotion is wrong, its why the jedi failed, the original je'di had used both light and dark sides of the force, obi-wan had attachments and was the longest living jedi after order 66 so far, so they cant be all bad

no anakin at that moment was the third more powerfull force user just behind yoda and palpatine and by george lucas canon he was superior to them in raw power

Its probably cuz "Maclunkey" was an edit George did for the intended 3D re-release of ANH. Disney haven't messed around with the original films at all as far as I'm aware.

They were at the temple during order 66, but they arent seen in ROTS. So the 'what if' part still makes sense. Temple guards have never been in any movie. They are there, but you dont see them. I wrote it the right way.
