Finally my JEE journey is over. I got 4088 CRL in JEE Mains 2022, expected a lot from advanced but got only 107/360 due to various silly mistakes, so i wont be going into an IIT, rather CSE in NIT, and will look to make extraordinary career in it as I have passion about coding and programming. Thanks a lot to PG team in this journey.😊

20:05 can't we just equate like Q^2/2C = 0.5LI^2 as we used to do in lc oscillations (NCERT).. the way sir did gives the same result.. but I want to know is there any insight in this case which must be looked, as compared to a simple lc oscillation ckt.

I think, Here work done by the battery should be considered.. In normal lc oscillation ckt there is no induced emf so only electrical nd capacitive energies r interchanging( no wd by battery there)

Hello sir, I have a small confusion... In binding energy of nucleus question you have considered p> n+e ( protons convert to neutron and positron.. ) doesn't it violate conservation of mass or if we consider Energy mass conversation where does this extra energy come from to convert into mass ? Please explain ( as far as my knowledge concerns Mp < Mn)

Binding energy of neutrons is less as compared to protons, so the binding energy lost is converted into mass

Sir i had a doubt in question 2 where you considered inelastic collision but cant we just assume that the kinetic energy required is just the q value of reaction and momentum conservation is not required ??so that way the q value itself is the kinetic energy of alpha particle

watch PG concept videos from basics and then read the theory of book carefully... relate the two make your own notes and then try illustration reading and attempting after few hrs... you will be able to solve complete book... its the process of learning which is important !

Sir, I have a doubt in Q5. Won't the velocity of com of disk also add to to velocity of the projectile, in which case the actual velocity of the projectile will be at angle 60° to horizontal but on the opposite side. The answer will be same in both cases.

Q11 in paper 1 can be done simply by equating the rate of work done by pressure and gravity with the rate of change in kinetic and internal energy of a fixed mass element of the gas. The calculation is also easier in this way as one can simply use the mass flow rate alpha directly and not put in many numbers separately. It gives the height 360m which one can also obtain from the modified stream function for a streamline flow of a compressible gas/fluid. However, the latter is not within the syllabus most likely. Also Q10 in paper 1 can be easily solved using loop currents. In every loop a certain fixed current is circulating (clockwise/anti-clockwise) and the current through a single resistor is a sum of the appropriate loop currents. There are four independent loop currents in this problem which we need to solve for. In terms of these loop current variables, the equations are rather simple. It is a nice alternative technique to solve circuit problems without constructing other equivalent circuits. In this case, the loop currents lead to a quick solution.

For any system, an isotherm on the PV diagram can never have a positive slope. That question is simply wrong and the solver should have explained that to the students.

Q5 solution is wrong. Projectile will be in forward direction, due to inertia it has two velocities, one being tangential velocity and other being the velocity of center of mass of disc. However final answer is correct because luckily in both directions the angle coming is 60°. But if there was some other data, then this would lead to wrong answer.

No. As specifically written in question that stone flies off tangentially, that is what’s is to be used to solve for the given case…

And, if we think logically, this is what exactly happens : the small stone gets both velocities, otherwise it will violate Law of Inertia Please confirm whether conceptually I'm correct I would be very grateful

@@shrawon3605 yes that’s right, tangentially always means wrt disc only. In this or in any other case height will not be affected. Sir has also solved it for this only…. And yes conceptually you are right but as horizontal velocity does not affect the height no need to think in that direction. How ever if range is asked for stone then method would have been different…
