Jeep owners love their mods...we put those mods on because WE love them and not what other people love because they don't own our Jeeps. All the negative comments about what she added...shame on you. How do YOU feel when someone points out a mod you did saying how bad it looks or they wouldn't have done it?? Rock on Merideth.
@bdd14695 жыл бұрын
Really? Shame on someone for having the guts to tell the truth and give their opinion? Pathetic. If the owner likes the flares thats great, and what matters. To most , they look terrible with only 35's , and all the silver paint in the wheel wells should be painted black. Personally I love it when someone questions a mod I did because it causes me to question it myself. Sometimes I agree with the critics , sometimes I don't....but I never get butt hurt over it.
@zephyr58025 жыл бұрын
@@bdd1469 I don't think A Pearl correctly worded what they were trying to say. To me, the way this video presents itself, shows that these were parts that she hand picked for her Jeep. Naturally all things change, and over time the fenders will change as well. What I believe Pearl was focusing specifically on however were some of the more negative comments directed at her, rather than the critiques. There is a very solid line when it comes to something being negative and a critique, a critique provides an opposing opinion and a reason. A negative comment only provides an opinion and usually tacks on a hateful portion as well. Either way I don't necessarily agree with her choice of fenders, but to me the stock ones weren't that much of an improvement. I hope I was able to clear up what was being said.

@@bdd1469 "and all the silver paint in the wheel wells should be painted black" which is what 99% of people would do...to make it look like everyone else's...yawn. Leaving them silver draws attention to them, to the great shocks, and it's not just some big ugly black hole they way it is on everyone else's rig. Nice job all around!! 2 thumbs up!

I like extreme terrain, but if you wheel, you know these aren’t the best cheap mods for a new off road build. TIRES, armor, and maybe a rear locker. If you got a Rubicon, learn to wheel that stock... there’s probably only two trails (Holy Cross and Mt Blanca) in my state (Colorado) that I want to do and might not be able to... still I’ll probably try them because I can wheel 😉. Definitely not critical of her tho, I’m sure she can Jeep, just disagree with ET on this... they’re selling parts and that’s awesome, but they should be selling more useful mods. The lift should be round two of mods (even tho they look better lifted imo)... if you don’t believe me, wheel with me if your rig is like this one, I can guarantee my stock JK will be more capable.

The Teraflex lift kit has one flaw: regular nuts at the top of the shocks. Go buy some matching nylon lock nuts and put those on - you don't want those "tighten until the rubber gasket bulges a little" simple nuts to fall off on a washboard in the middle of Mohave National Preserve (and if it does, drive out to Baker, at the south end of town is a towing/repair shop with a big box of salvaged nuts you can dig through for a little donation to the beer fund.) Depending on what Jeep model you put those 35s on, you might want to consider the extra $1.5k expense of having the diffs re-geared to at least 4.10. If you put 33s or 35s on a Sahara you will go very sluggish because that one is geared so low that it barely pulls stock wheels, much less something that weighs 80lbs each. Talking about 80+ lbs wheels: the spare tire carrier isn't designed for that, nor is the gate hinge. If you're not running 37s or 40s go with a hinge and steel carrier replacement (cheaper) or replace the bumper with one that comes with a bumper mounted spare tire (3 times the price but ideal, since it also allows for extra gear to be mounted) Watch state regulations for the air intake. In i.e. CA a lot of legally elsewhere air intakes are prohibited, so check your state regulations first. A snorkel is probably the better cold air intake anyways (and legal everywhere as far as I know since it doesn't change the air flow, it only changes the air temperature.)
@tommymadux36463 жыл бұрын
On a keep of Your trying to keep your low end power I would gear the diffs once bigger tires go on. The gears will make a way bigger notice on power and improve mpg more then any intake will Do. Plus on newer cars and trucks if your doing an intake make sure to also do a programmer so the computer knows how to adjust the air fuel ratio. Instead the computer is freaking out thinking something is wrong with the more air coming in so it’s going to dump more fuel Into the motor trying to compensate for the more air coming in. Plus most stock air boxes are really efficient and unless your buying a quality true cold air system you may end up Going backwards in performance by just changing the intake.

So I guess having inner wheel guards doesn't mean much.. let that mud and dirt or sand and rocks or even tree limbs go where they want in those nice shiny new spaces from a lift... Just HAVE FUN!!!! NO!!!!! This thing called mud... it finds every crack and every hole so minimize it with inner guards... Without guards to compliment the lift.... It would effect the engines capacity of over heating or anything from being coated with real off road debris Not to mention when over flex happens aka parts wear out or simply a challenging trail or even just a Sundays drive though idk... Get some limiting straps... If you wanted to add the basics to this.. add this.... Fender flares are awesome.. but you guys left an ACRE of space in between the wheel wells and engine.. Have fun with that on wet days..

@extremeterrain4 жыл бұрын
1-2" spacer lift kits are perfectly fine for the daily driver who wants to get some larger tires on their Jeep, but don't plan on off-roading much. At 3" of lift though I would highly recommend getting a complete coil spring kit with shocks to provide the best on-road performance as possible. I'd also recommend adding an adjustable front track bar to your Jeep while lifting to keep the front axle centered, and some sort of control arm drop brackets or adjustable control arms to correct suspension geometry. Hope this helps! -Zach

Jeeping is freedom so no complaints, but I disagree... I’ve wheeled a wrangler for over 20 years including both stock and built. Wheel it stock, GOOD TIRES (32in if JK, buy Rubicon take offs (~$400-600)... just don’t do it if you’re in Colorado, that’s my secret 😉), armor your bottom, put stronger but better angled bumpers on it (with a winch), and definitely rock rails. After wheeling with open diffs, get some lockers. That’s it, go wheel. The problem with lifting it is most don’t know how to maintain and check their lift, it’s expensive (tires, wheels and cheap lifts suck long term), and depending on the size, you’re putting too much on stress on those stock axles. I’m not against modifications (I actually love a well built jeep), but I’m going to show you on my channel what a STOCK Jeep can really do!

Not necessarily. If you lift your Jeep properly using a high-quality lift kit, don't wheel it too hard off-road, and keep a list of everything installed, you won't see the value of your Wrangler dip. If anything, the value may go up a little bit. But if you only throw on a spacer pucks, don't keep receipts, and beat it pretty hard off-road, I wouldn't be too surprised to see the value drop. -Zach

There isn't too many ways to make a soft top quieter while driving, unfortunately. Some companies make aftermarket soft-top bows to help keep the top fabric nice and tight so wind doesn't make it flap as much, and you can always double check your soft-top frame to make sure its stretching the top as tight as possible. If things are pretty worn out you may want to look into buying a new soft-top though. -Zach
