Full install video for the Fab Fours Stubby Front Bumper.
UPDATE: Those wine glass cut-outs I said were for a Hi-Lift jack mount are actually jack locations for you to lift your keep.
Notes:
- Torque frame bolts down to 60 ft/lbs
- Torque bumper support brackets down to 15 ft/lbs
- Make sure you have socket extensions handy! I think i used 3" and 6" socket extensions on both the 1/2" and 3/8" socket wrench.
- D-Rings not included. Purchase 3/4" rings with 7/8" pins and washers/isolators to make them not wobble.
- Watch my other video on how to install the LED fog lights, if that is what you have on your JL. It only takes some simple drilling.
- Carole Baskin killed her husband.
- Use Rustoleum Matte Black to touch up scrapes.

I'm loving the haunted house wind sounds throughout the vid. Best stubby bumper IMO. Installing mine tomorrow.

I could be wrong, but I think those holes are for a hi-lift Jack's lifting points (like the foot slides into those holes as a secure point) and not a "mounting" point. Like I said, I could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me

You are correct, I tried lifting it with my hi-lift jack and that's exactly what those slots were for. I must have misunderstood customer service when I spoke with them on the phone initially. Thank you for the comment!

@@dylangrimmett3092 you probably heard right, the only reason I figured it out was because I found out that they use "lifting point" and "mounting point" interchangeably

Helpful video! Question: why did you lose the bumper support bracket? Can I just not use them?

Not a hole for a HiLift mount. It's a hole made to use a HiLift to lift the front end.

Hey brother nice jeep! Just got a used one no bolts do you use the bolts from the jeep or what size are the bolts that attach to the chassis? I'm scratching my head on this. What size and thread are they?

Hey sorry for the late reply, I am not entirely sure what size/thread the bolts are but they should be 7/16 since that's what the nuts were. lengthwise, I poked my head under my car to measure and I am seeing them about 2" to maybe 2.5" long. Very strange that the bolts were not welded onto the bumper like mine were, but i hope you're able to get it installed.

Looks great. I’m picking up a Willy’s in about a week 2021 what year is yours? I would like to add this stubby bumper but I have the led package on mine as well. So looks like you CAN NOT use the factory fogs? I don’t want to have to heavily modify the lights to get them in or buy new ones. Maybe I should look in to another bumper then??? Thought? Does the Willy’s have a lift from factory?

When you installed the bumper did you have a lift besides the Willys factor lift and did you notice any drop in the front of the Jeep do to the extra weight of that bumper vs the factor one? Thanks for the video!

Very sorry for the late reply. I have the factory/stock Willy's lift and haven't noticed any drop in the front of the vehicle from the added weight. So far very happy with this bumper 5 months later! Especially since I was able to get the factory LED lights in there. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I've heard complaints about loss of light at night from headlights due to the height of the bars. How true is this?

I just installed this bumper. It doesn’t really block light much at all. Also this bumper is available for 20 or so bucks cheaper without the pre runner bar. One thing for me is they forgot to either mail the hardware or it fell out in transit and the welded bolts weren’t welded very well 3 out of 8 welded bolts turned in their places. Hopefully in the AM when I go get an extension and hunt down more mounting hardware it’ll tighten up ok. If not I’ll have to return it to 4 wheel parts and get a different bumper. This install video really did help a lot. It’s actually a pretty stout bumper it’s too bad on the welds and missing mounting hardware. But I got those at Pep Boys.

Exactly what Chuck said! I haven't noticed any loss of headlight light with the bar, but I do have the LED headlights and fog lights if that makes any difference.

What d ring shackles did you buy? Bought a shackle recently and the pin diameter is 1 1/8” which was too big

I bought the Rhino USA 3/4" Shackle with 7/8 Pin on amazon (link below), and then I had to buy some isolators since there was too much of a gap between it (link below). D Grimm found some 7/8 d shackles at my local 4 wheel parts store. Smittybuilt makes them, got isolators and washers. Thank you!

I was able to do this very quickly with some basic tools. Without filming, and being a novice at working on my car... it took me about 3 hours. Sorry for the late reply.

@@DelanoJ Thanks! How are you liking the bumper so far, and were you able to get the OEM fog lights installed on it? I have a few videos in production right now, just some small accessory items I will be reviewing and showing how to install: Smittybilt cargo liner, Amazon door holder cart, and once I get them in I will make a video on installing the Carolina Metal Masters mirrors which I'm really excited for.

@@dylangrimmett3092 I was able to use factory fogs. Mine are amber bulbs and I liked that look so I kept them. Swapping new mopar LEDs in was tough without removing bumper. But grill flexible enough to get them in. Mine had halogen n had to go
