Jeep Kitchen - the Chuck Box

The Chuck Box has a history that is closing in on 200 years. Charles Goodnight invented the concept that supposedly "revolutionized" the cattle industry. The concept gave birth to the "Chuck Wagon" which became a sort of "rolling HQ" for long cattle drives that lasted weeks.
In this video, we demonstrate a modern interpretation of the Chuck Box for use in overland travel and exploring. This concept is portable, compact and flexible.

Love it! Thank you for humoring us. I was wondering if you have built the box and I'm happy to know that it is available to anyone with just a few mods. The idea of using 2 backpacking stoves in lieu of a bigger camping stove? Brilliant

Nice design! Well thought out and ut together. I have one that my father put together from an old wooden tool box that came from his family's iron foundry in Bangor Maine. It's been everywhere in norther New England. Nice to see other designs.

Excellent set up! the only thing I could think of to add would be a humidor for your after dinner cigar. I already have a lifetime supply of spam from the original 1937 run, LOL. On your next tutorial could you show Clifford the Reds rain/sun awning or tarp setup?

that was pretty cool. would a coleman stove FIT in that box, if you wanted tho? just curious

It would all depend on which model coleman, but most models are probably too big. The IsoPro cannister "just fits" in the cubby. A small coleman model might fit in the bottom section. A two burner wouldn't come close to fitting.
