The day starts outside Telluride as host Collin Coates-of our own Built2Wander vlog-Matt Thompson of 3D Offroad and Mel Wade of Evo Manufacturing all get ready to head out. It’s an all Jeep affair, with both Collin and Mel bringing a Jeep JL and Matt bringing a Jeep Gladiator, which he likes to call Blaze JT. All vehicles are equipped with Nitto Trail Grapplers, so they’ll have plenty of grip as they navigate the narrow trail to the top of the pass.
Driving on Imogene Pass off-road can get quite busy, so it’s best to get an early start, and if you do run into other drivers, make sure to yield to uphill traffic. Along the way are a whole host of beautiful vantage points to stop off at. Just make sure you don’t take in the view too much while you’re driving. You don’t want to accidentally drive off!
