Do people realize this is not a Dirt Every Day episode? Apparently not. This is an "Extra", which means extra content we get on top of what we used to get before there was Motor Trend on Demand. Why do people complain more the more free content they get? I am confuse.

Take that diesel and put it in the camp jeep. Get rid of the spool for a selectable locker and you have the real ultimate vehicle.

I think some of these commenters are forgetting what these Dirt Every Day Extra videos are all about. These aren't full episodes. These are EXTRAS. Similar to the extra behind the scenes footage you used to get on DVDs.

Fred please explain to us diesel jeepers the difference between the Cummins 2.8 in tube sock and the VM motori 2.8 out of the crd libbys. if you are aware of any cause I can dyno my libby and put down 230 hp and about 400lbft out of a tuned and k&n filtered crd cause I'm a little shocked that cummings only makes 170hp and 270lbft ?

when I was a teenager I had cummins in my tubesock too. And yeah it was dirty everyday.

Whether a SWB or LWB, larger engine, longer suspension travel or even changing the tyres etc, except for the conditions the cars are going up against, they are practically the same and that bores me to tears. However, It is good to know what modifications are needed though. I like your adventures Frederick, more please.

Why doesn't any one run a spool in the front axle if you have manual locking hubs? Keep in mind only using 4wd off road.

What soft top is on tube sock? I want a simpler soft top for my tj that could fit with a yj sport roll bar so if the soft top doesn’t mount on the roll bar would be good

I love the stick and boo 4cyl but I have an XJ 96 lift and its the inline 6 so I am already spoiled. I have owned three XJs and I am wanting to drive a rubicon, TJ or YJ just to see if they are as cool since I cannot get the XJ for much longer in a newer body style since the rounded body is not the same to me. Its not a cj2, its a wrangler (maybe if you count the frame), or maybe just an aftermarket Frankenstein. Cool vehicle, but really not a jeep. On the other hand, tubesock is a genuine jeep.
