I put .5 spacers on mine with 3.5 lift and 35s. I enjoy the wider look but I do get rocks hitting the side of my Jeep sometimes. I’ve got the gobi rack so I hear these loud “ping” sounds when the rocks come flying out. Winter forget about it I can throw snow in the jeeps windows 😂

I have -38 mm offset rims on 40s thinking about adding 1-1/2in spacers to make it wider ,any suggestions? What’s your rims offset

Mine are -44mm offset and 4.5in of back spacing. I think you can get away with a 1in spacer any more than that you will probably run may run into clearance issues depending on your suspension lift. I’m sure you don’t need them but it never hurts to test it out. If you are running 40x13.50 you may be able to get away with 2in spacers. I have done this in the past but on 17x9 on a 3.5in lift on JLUR. Typed most of that out thinking of 40x15.50.

I would go with 1.5 as long as your wheels will work without having to cut the studs
