We apply DiamondLube to a 1998 Jeep Wrangler SE. This is the short and sweet version of the full DiamondLube treatment video. If you would like to see the full length uncut Before and After treatment video, click on the card in the top right of the video.
The transmission had a slight slippage when shifting. It would slip between first and second gear and also between second and third. After driving around for a few minutes and getting data on the slipping transmission, we pull over and add half of a bottle of DiamondLube to the transmission. We then drive around for about 15 minutes to work the DiamondLube in to the transmission. Nearly immediately we get an increase in shifting power. I start out by shifting manually through the gears to make sure each gear gets used. DiamondLube in an automatic transmission allows the solenoids to move effortlessly while increasing stiction on the pressure plates causing smoother but better shifting. DiamondLube has a rejuvenation effect in both automatic and manual transmissions. Near the end of the 15 minute drive, the transmission is shifting quicker and slipping less. Next we apply DiamondLube to the engine and the fuel system. Later that night we take her out for a spin to work the DiamondLube in, revving the engine up.
If you look at how high the RPMs go before/ during the initial DiamondLube treatment, it only would rev up to 3200 RPMs. After roughly 400 miles of having DiamondLube in the vehicle, it now revs up to 5000 RPMs! That's a 56% increase in RPM range!
With a better running engine and transmission, you will get an increase in gas mileage and longer life out of your engine and transmission. If you have a slipping transmission, DiamondLube is a fraction of the cost of a new transmission or a rebuild.
