Love the vids Man. I have a 97 TJ thankfully not all rusted out like yours haha but im diggin the parts your putting in and all the time and effort your spending to restore these awesome vehicles. Cant wait to see more progress on your TJ im sure these vids will be helpful for me later down the road.

While all is apart, would be a great time to clean TB and all associated sensors, I did and greatly improved idle and response.

I’m having a new exhaust manifold done on my 5 speed, ‘97 Jeep Wrangler TJ. Now I know what’s involved! Wish I had a friend to do mine. Midas is doing the work. Hope all goes well. I know people have their doubts when it comes to Midas, but I had to trust someone to do it! My fingers are crossed!!🤞 2/13/19

good video, but a couple suggestions: 1- disconnect fuel line before removing the intake 2-need more beer brakes in between :)

Sm,art move installing the lower intake bolts on the head and sliding the manifold into place.

Last summer I was going to replace the intake gasket...and i can attest...those bottom bolts are a couple mofo's to get at. I have a pit to work in...so it was easy for me to get under it...then I dropped the breaker bar on my mouth and called it day because it was time for a trip to the dentist. You won that round Jeep.

was the replacement header a direct fit to the catalytic converter?

But how did you get the doughnut gasket on? I didn’t see it in the video. That’s where I’m stuck. It’s like the gasket is too small. Can’t drive it on with a mallet because it just crushes it.

Yea well i got to do the same thing on a tj i just picked up .And you got that right when you said pain in the ass.

Yet another video that doesn't show the worst part. The HELLISH bottom bolts. My second from the front in my 2001 has fought me for 4 days and I STILL cant get it out.

Manifold is on, but when I’m waiting at a light, the engine is reved up!

I really dread doing my Exhaust Manifold and you did not make it look easy. SUGGESTION when you work on son that is really rough at every rough point rub greasy dirt on your arm , shirt, face, and the worse it is at every point more dirt and when you are done we want to see you head to toe filthy . Also can you say about what it would cost each job ? also since you are drinking a Beer let the kind be seen really well and perhaps mention what A treat anyone would do this job if he gets one of these when the job was done and he would do it standing on his head if he got two of them . That way you just might get paid for your commercial sooner or later. Thanks. So after that tip I just gave you will you come do my Exhaust manifold for me ? I'll Give you two cases of beer and pay a reasonable price . Thanks. Make sure to always complain and mention the hardest part as you go along. Thanks.
