You've gotta give this movie credit that they actually used puppetry and make-up effects instead of pure cgi. Someone obviously put a little bit of effort into the monster. I actually kind of liked its design and it definitely scared me in its 'creeper' scene when I was younger haha

This was a decent sequel imo. I liked the opening scene. Having the creeper pretend to be a scarecrow was creepy and kinda clever. I liked the parts with creeper using weapons made from human bone to kill people and disable the bus. The subplot with the farmer hunting the creeper was cheesy and bit silly but entertaining.

If only they'd had that knife in Amityville.......

You'd think if burning its husk didn't work you could wrap and bury it in rebar with cement. Maybe even sell it to some government agency or R&D lab, this would also help setup a less stupid sequel with firearms and action. The settings suppose to mirror RL with this seemingly now supernatural creature which wasnt the case in the first film I thought. Either way its hard to deny the bodies, the physical evidence and testimony. They could seek help or be proactive. Burying it even at 10ft is insanely high weight crushing it. Interesting idea, seriously crappy execution. Edit; I noticed they must of salvaged it's parts and stitched it together for thier display... Really great idea, make it as easy as possible for it to come back. Its like a layer cake of stupid.

I just realized: They're on a school bus. Rear tires are doubled up to protect against flats. It wasn't even not driving on the flat, they could have driven fine with no problems.

'Clownhouse' was the first time I knew of Victor Salva a few years ago, and color me surprised that 'Jeepers Creepers' I had always heard of was his too...I really liked 'Clownhouse'! The house in it just HAPPENED to look like it was in the same kind of woodsy-dirt-road place where MINE is...poor clown guys just DOING their jobs when the mental patients who lost their circus privileges wanted to go to the circus;)

The whole "knife flying randomly into the lamp" bit always threw me off when I first saw the film. I haven't seen the film in a while now, but from what I can recall, I think I worked it out. On one side of the knife is an image that looks like a child being abducted from a field like his son had been earlier in the film. And when he sees that, the knife suddenly is flung from his hand. I THINK (key-word: "think") the implication is that he was so shocked by seeing the image that reminded him of his son, he jumped/spasmed and flung the knife with the flick of a wrist. But I just don't think it was conveyed well due to the camerawork and quick cutting. I also heard it suggested that it was the knife "magically trying to return to the Creeper", but that just seems silly to me. and I don't recall the movie establishing that the Creeper had magical weapon-magnet powers.

Really by trying to stop the demon thing it seems like they just cause it to need to kill more people to repair itself. Not that I blame them. It was my understanding (from the first one) that jeepers uses specific and different parts from all of it's victims to repair it's form. Hence chasing the one guy down for his eyes. That goes a bit out the window in this one, but using the parts to repair itself would explain why it didn't go underground for 20 years yet as it was quite damaged during the last one.

For some reason, they played this movie quite often each year on channel 11 when I was a kid. Sometimes 1, sometimes 3, but always 2. Even when it wasn't Halloween lol

The basic idea of people being trapped on a bus and hunted by an unknown force is a good concept. This is not a good movie.

The actual idea to the Creeper is unsettling but this needed a more patient and subtle touch. Tease the Creeper. Then when we finally see it have it get badly injured then it rippls the body part it wants to replace the wound only a but before the end.
