@@eddietime1811 sometimes you have all the puzzle pieces but you don’t know how to put it together, until someone else gets an outside view of it. that’s why peer review is so important because you can build of each other and compliment each others skills. It can be. There is absolutely a good value in realising your limitations and that there are certain roles and purposes that are simply beyond you. You should be aware of what you are realistically capable of and build a life from there, not spend a life desperately chasing fairytales and dreams that you could potentially never fill. The problem with a lot of the "dream big", "you can be anything" and other inspirational narratives is that they are fundamentally flawed as they are constructed entirely from the smaller samples of those who succeed, without factoring in all those who failed. For every iconic medalist in a race, there is the entire group of competitors who never got on the podium that are ultimately forgotten.

@@BreadPitt1012 he has made himself the richest man on the planet by exploiting literally everyone else. He barely pays taxes even though he built his fortune by using the infrastructure we all pay for with taxes like roads etc. He exploits his workers by paying them the absolute minimum for working in terrible conditions with little to no job security. He exploits small businesses on Amazon by copying and selling his own versions of their best selling items while supressing the creators, essentially driving them out of business. If you can exploit that many people and still sleep at night, you are a monster.

@@MaxVliet you forgot the part where he innovated and created a service everyone loves and uses, willingly trading their dollars for products. They businesses that sell on amazon also volunteer to do so because the traffic to their business and extra revenue is worth the fees and added competition. It's a free market and everyone volunteered to work with Amazon. You are delusional if you think it's all bad. The worker practices are pretty ugly I agree there.

“3 hours on on homework problem” He acts like this is something crazy. In fact when studying physics the first few semesters you have to deal with maths homework, theoretical physics homework and one experiment each week for which you have to evaluate the data and write a protocol. Taking three hours trying to solve one single problem is not that uncommon, but there are even more things to do. So 12-14h working a day is really common in the first few semesters. It is designed that way to separate people who really want to do this from the ones who don’t. The most important skill ist to never give up. Getting really frustrated because things do not work out the first time you try it is half of the fun. But the next day you try again with a different approach and again and again until you finally work it out. Just don’t give up! I don’t like this story, because giving up, once it’s getting hard is not a trait that makes you achieve your goals.

He exploits people intentionally or not, respect is earned not owed. If it's more cost-effective I'm sure he will move abroad, I don't think he stays as a favour to his current employees. Infact aren't they trying to replace the current workforce with as much automation as possible. If he moved other businesses would take their place, smaller and more independent companies could also be more competitive when it comes to pay.
