10 hours of research will likely leave you confused and you’ll go one of two ways; you call it a joke and stop or you’ll begin your journey down the rabbit whole. That’s why 10 hours is the inflection point. 100 hours of research is when you’ve been Orange Pilled. And while you may never master Bitcoin; once you’ve reached over 1000 hours of research of Bitcoin, Central Banking, Monetary Theory, the history of money, and what is money, etc… at this point you’ve gained the required level of conviction.

I spent 4 yrs learning about bitcoin but it wasnt until i learnt about the fiat ponzi system that i realized bitcoin is the solution. This is a solution to a problem that has plagued humans for thousands of years. Nobel prize winning in my opinion.

I would argue that not only does it go far beyond Nobel worthy…it is the most profound innovation/discovery since the number 0. I think Bitcoin overshadows many profound technologies, and is on par with spoken language and written language in so far as how it will change, and advance, human cooperation.

Loved the discussion, but "crypto" DOES have a use case and CAN do things that Bitcoin cannot do. One obvious example, you can own property in a game or instantly settle a stock trade using something like SOL. Maybe Bitcoin will enable this someday. Maybe not. The fact is, SOL can do it now and takes nothing away from the powerful Bitcoin thesis (an I am a Bitcoiner)

I appreciate Jeff's outlook and message. While the "marginal cost of production" narrative is growing tired through repetition, I suppose it deserves repeating. Realizing the S&P is a 1 to 1 proxy to inflation over time is a difficult pill to swallow. Inflation is a sneaky criminal. The silver lining to the rising cost of living is that more and more people are now becoming aware of this theft. The real "risk" really is remaining allocated in a system driven by debasement. Great discussion guys!

One thing I’ve encountered is that people want money on their pockets. They don’t realize that paper fiat money is literally losing value as it sits in their pockets. Those that do realize the value destruction of fiat, dislike online and digital transactions, because they dislike big brother or because they want people to make purchases locally to support local economies. Even if these stores are chain stores. There is some merit to big brother watching transactions. But they don’t understand local economies suffer from fiat money and chain stores are not mom and pop stores. Trying to educate people on tangible hard money and intangible hard money is often times very frustrating. They just don’t understand that a Franklin is only paper and continuously loses value. Nor do they understand that it isn’t a safe haven nor is it unpatriotic to point out the shortcomings of fiat money. The creation of the Federal Reserve and fiat have done more to undermine American than anything else. Hard money is the only way forward.

I love Jeff, he’s a smart guy and his book has taught a lot to people, but he does have a tendency to talk to his interviewers and others as if they know less rather than that they have similar levels of knowledge in other areas, and he tends not to acknowledge when others say something correct or funny, even though it’s not contradicting him. Instead he just wants to tell you why. For example, when Mark said that Jamie Dimon literally told everyone one of Bitcoin’s use cases, Jeff could have laughed in agreement, but Mark had to say it again to make sure Jeff understood him

Hi Mark. Love your insights and education. Just two questions I would like to understand 1. How can we ensure bitcoin cannot be broken with all the AI and quantum computing ? 2. Surely the ETFs will issue fractional bitcoin(paper) and therefore they will drive/manipulate price down like the gold and silver markets. Please could you do a short video on this 👍👍

The protocol can be changed to make it more future proof. This would be something everyone would agree on, or their money goes to zero. its an easy decision to make to upgrade everyones software to accept new changes. Any damage done, could be rolled back to previous state.

A short English lesson, as a lot of North Americans seems to get this wrong - the expression “could care less” in most cases should be “couldn’t care less” as it’s intended to mean you, Bitcoin or whatever, cares so little that it’s not possible to care any less. Saying “could care less” suggests you already care a certain amount

The comments by Jeff between 15-19 minutes are ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL for everyone to understand. I’ve put $120k into my home in the last 5 years. I would would be DAMN LUCKY to get it out. If I had bought #BTC instead, I would have 8x-10x my money. The only other assets to do so would be the “Magnificent 7”… maybe….

I do not believe there will ever be a perfect money system. How is it fair that those entering the btc system now (as opposed to the early adopters) will be paying 10x the entry point. How is it fair that a small percentage of the rich already hold the majority of the btc in circulation. In addition, what is to stop another crypto system from emulating the btc model while providing quicker and cheaper transaction fees - the model T Ford was once the first mover in its space, now its just another vehicle on the road. I am all for crypto but these presenters should pose all the risks.

Investing anywhere other than bitcoin during these early adoption years is inefficient. The goal of acquiring satoshis is to get away from dollars, not gain more 😉

Until I can spend crypto currency on things at the grocery store and other places, crypto is just an investment and nothing more. It is only backed by promises. Fiat money is the same thing in principle, but at least it is accepted everywhere. The mining fees are too high to make using crypto as a means of exchange feasible.

Bitcoin Cash is what you want. sub cent transaction fees, big enough blocks to do all transactions on chain. privacy mixing, reusable payment addresses, it has all the bells and whistles, and the best part, its actually what Bitcoin should have been. BCH preserved Satoshis vision of Peer to Peer electronic cash as per his whitepaper. And you can still buy it cheap. but not for long.
