+Splendid Pictures LOL, yeah highly classic movie, and for someone learning english it s just great , i abide to that, this movie is so good in english that it lost most of its juice in dub version, it just full of great quote, can t be translated, too idiomatic, plus the music of b dylan, that was over the top, but i m a fan of the coen s bro, and if i can select the top 3 for their movie i ll go the big lebov, barton fink and fargo but that s just mi opinion man

I was 18 in 1998 when The Big Lebowski came out and my best friend and I at the time LOVED IT. I still love it to this day and will watch it if I see it on TV. It's a piece of American cultural history and it deserves all of the praise it gets.

What I love most about that dream sequence is the bit right at the start, where the camera is pulled right back and the dude's doing that weird walk into some huge cavern...always spooks me out because it's filmed in such a strange way.

That was like a movie that when it came out you watched it and you were like okay, it's okay. Then you said a line to a friend and they knew the line. Then you realized that pretty much most of the people knew the lines to the movie. Still probably the most quotable movie ever made.

I read once that Bridges had a sign on his office wall that just said "BB9" which stood for "be benign." In other words, a reminder to himself to not be hurtful to others or our planet. The world would be a much better place with millions more like him.

Jeff Bridges for me will always remind me of BLOWN AWAY (1994) for some reason I was obsessed with that movie before I was even 10 years old. His character was a Hero to me. Seeing him broken and defeated while the U2 song plays "With or Without You", it just stuck with me for years.

I'm actually one of - I believe the count is over three hundred thousand now - State Certified reverends in the religion of Dudeism. I have the Dudeism fish on my car and all my bank cards say Reverend on them. Any time I go into the bank, before I leave they say - Thank you, Reverend.. The dude abides

Couple of years ago we were watching this movie with a bunch of guys, some of them hadn't seen it before. I was mesmerised as always, the older guy was silently muttering every line to himself, and after half an hour one of the "new" guys turned around to me and whispered in my ear:"I don't get it." That kinda made the movie even more brilliant.

The fact that such an acclaimed actor embraces a role like that just makes me love Jeff Bridges even more. Often time actors who are held in such high stature shy away from comedy or being associated with any one role to the extent people associate Jeff Bridges with this movie, but he fully embraces it and loves the film.
