@@VonneDutch I don’t really have any expectations. I would have preferred that Brad Pitt had gotten his way, if anyone was to make a movie about Jeff. Unfortunately, his plans were foiled. I think he would have done a good job, considering how talented he is, and how much he loves and respects Jeff’s music.

The general public has been fooled by the cover of Hallelujah and the glittery album cover of Grace into thinking Jeff was just a Soft Rock Gospel star from the 80s. This man got down HARD on some Grunge here, and dude has a very unique style that influenced an entire wave of Alternative Rock.

First time I saw him was in a small club in Seattle. He came out alone on stage and did some vocal warm ups. He would sound like those guys that wail in those minarets in the middle east. Perfect vocal control and tonality in spades. I never have seen film of him executing these warm ups ....... very remarkable. The show was fantastic! Interesting chord selection and innovative song construction. The energy he exuded was like the early Zeppelin shows I saw when I was a kid. Saw him play acoustic in a Seattle coffee shop and the last time I saw him was in a downtown theater. I was lucky to see him but it made the hurt much worse when he passed. Energy & Talent.

@@MojoPin1983 upstairs at The Paradiso and the first time I saw him was at The Underground(?) in Ballard. I didn't see anyone filming or taping. I will ask around. See of you can find some vocal warm up files. They were amazing.

it’s just something about jeff and the band’s energy as a whole that is so mesmerizing .. in every performance , you can FEEL the energy through the screen . imagine the sensational feeling of hearing music that’s coming from the heart of such beautiful souls! especially actually being there in the moment , the environment they brought must’ve been just unforgettable . thank you for spreading their energy, mojo!

I prefer the MTV 120 Minutes version. Also, the acoustic rendition on MusiquePlus is great. Another great version is from Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel.

I’ve inquired about footage from Roskilde but, sadly, I was told by representatives of the festival that it wasn’t professionally filmed. There is some audience footage of some other acts, so it is possible that someone filmed Jeff’s set, and has it in their private, home collection.

@modelcitizendj Some of his live stuff was blistering. Check out the following: Eternal Life (Road Version) Kick Out the Jams (Grace Legacy Edition) I Woke Up in a Strange Place Additionally, various live versions of Grace and Dream Brother were pretty heavy.
