This was recorded live at Capitol Records. They opened Studio A up to Studio B (something they might normally do to accomodate a large orchestra) to recreate the atmosphere of a club where Goldblum had a residency for about twenty years. Haley and Jeff had met for the first time just a few days prior. I feel like Haley drove the interaction, displaying her confidence as a performer and young woman. There are two tracks on Goldblum's debut album (The Capitol Studios Sessions) that feature Haley. The other is "Gee Baby (Ain't I Good To You)."
