The Roast is missing that important ingredient Greg provided which was setting the Tone for the night...now it's abunch of comics who can't roast looking outta place telling safe jokes until Ross shows up.

If I produce a show, or if Comedy Central invites someone to the roast, we want everyone to do great. But she just wasn't there to have fun. She wanted to sell her book." When asked to name some of the worst performers to pass through Comedy Central's roasts, unsurprisingly, Ross pointed to Ann Coulter's infamous appearance at the 2016 Roast of Rob Lowe. Coulter was destroyed by the professional comedians on stage when her attempts at humor failed to land.

Lothar ThirtyFour Very much true. There are a lot of comedians who can write some funny jokes. But then there are comic's comedians. The guys that have that extra bit of genius in them. The ones that can think of ways to twist anything and make it funny. People like Kevin Hart, Dane Cook, and some other famous comics write some funny stuff, but their level of intellect in comedy is very limited.

I've been on this Don Rickles binge lately. Which led me to his celebrity roasts. Which then led me to Jeff Ross and Nikki Glaser. They truly are the Don of this Generation. Their will never be another Don. But in today's age of PR nightmares for comediens, having to tread ever so lightly over offending everyone. These two really do a fantastic job.
