Jeff Teague and the Club 520 guys discuss the lasting legacy that LeBron James has had on basketball after entering the NBA at 18 with higher expectations than we have ever seen for an athlete before. During his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron has never been in trouble on or off the court, and developed into one of the best players in NBA history. Jeff explains how difficult it was for LeBron to overcome all the obstacles in his way to become one of the GOATS.

LeBron is the first sports superstar in the Social Media era, where the media wants to tear you down with the first story posted. Compared to the 80's-90's, where the traditional media were licking athletes assholes clean for access to interviews and quotes. LeBron never busted on a DUI. DV, beating up teammates, gambling in the casino @ 3am before games, etc....the whole world been coming for his head for over 20yrs and he still golden.

Wasn't Rich Paul hustling jerseys and happened to run into Lebron at the airport? Iirc, he approached Lebron at the airport when Bron was like 18-19 and gave him a pitch. Lebron bought in and the rest is history. I mean talk about being ready for your shot and then absolutely nailing it. Now dude is worth millions upon millions and dating Adele ffs lol. What an absolute WILD life all because of a chance encounter at the airport.

This is exactly why I give Btt try on the nod bc for Mj grew up both parents working good jobs. Older brothers. Prestigious college. All the expectations for Bron n to surpass it. GOAT to me. People don't wanna accept he the goat because at least with MJ and Kobe they goated players, but they're assholes, they got into all kinds of controversies. In the mind of a hater he can at least say to himself yeah MJ the goat but at least he's flawed. But Bron is out here doing all this while growing up poor, married his highschool girlfriend, became a family man, dominated the league for 20 years and he seems like he could be your friend. He legit a Clark Kent type of figure, dude is the closest thing we have to a Superman and he has the audacity to also be funny. Must drive haters wild cause Bron has had cameras follow his ass since he was a kid and they still have nothing negative to report on him.

LeBron James succeeded despite his mother.. idc if he’s your favorite player or not.. the shit he overcame to become what he turned into is nothing short of spectacular
@vuksgitau
@vuksgitau 4 ай бұрын
Despite TF, his mom was doing something right for him to turn out like he did. Just because you hate your mother doesn't mean that is everyone. See a therapist about your mommy issues dog. Talking about despite his mother his mother spoke life into him since he was a child pulled him out of situations that would have ruined his future and literally pleaded with coaches to train him since 9 and you're talking about survived the fuck? Knowing how LeBron feels about his mom this post would insult him. She was a 16 year old kid alone in thus world and once she had a baby loved on him everyday of his life sacrificed having him with her so he could get the mentorship he needed even though it killed her to be separated from him for a while. LeBron James is who he is largely because of his mom. It was just the two of them against the world it's why the first person he calls after a championship win is his mother. That man loves his mom and so does she. You want to talk about someone succeeding despite his momma that would be Jimmy Butler, his birth mom was the worst, though I can't exactly tell whether she was suffering from mental illness to treat her child so shabilly but she threw him out at 13 and he didn't turn to the streets or to drugs, his story is the most heartbreaking and he is one most resilient people in the world I wish him nothing but success.

These guys touched on it a little...LeBron has made a blueprint for all of his friends to be successful. He is also primarily responsible for showing active players how to build wealth while still playing, becoming the first active player billionaire. Now, you see a lot of other active players working to build their empires. It took LeBron less time to become a billionaire than it took MJ or Magic.He is more than basketball. I am going to miss him when he retires.

That’s what makes being a LeBron hater so weird to me. It’s not like you have a problem where logic can be followed.
