Building an Outdoor Shower for the Catfish Cabin!
DIY project this time was a homemade outdoor shower out of a plastic drum, scrap wood, and some lumber we found floating in the river. Hannah bought a pump from harbor freight to fill the tank and we plumbed in a shower head! Cheap and easy! Now we can wash the catfish slime off after noodling

Make a pvc pipe with notches on both sides to go over the red valve so hannan can turn the shower head on, & off herself. Beautiful job with the outdoor shower house for everyone to use. Love you guys, be safe, stay healthy, & God Bless everyone.

I use to camp all spring - fall ... used 16 gallon jugs to shower with set them in sun all day to warm water jugs.. so you showed me how to change my 🚿 way just going to make one easy to take down and put up

The first thing I do when I buy a new shower head is drill the main hole out bigger, this will create that hard, fast flow you are looking for...

GOOD JOB! I had one kinda like that when l was working in the woods, only not near as elaborate. Plus it was only a 5 gallon bucket with a garden sprayer on it. Hehe. That one is fine!

One of my cousins made a shower like that at our camp down on the river. I've been getting that black rifle coffee in the camo can. It's some good coffee.

Most of those shower heads are low-flow there's a little plastic fitting inside there you can grab with some needle nose pliers and remove to get more flow, and keep an eye on that Lumber because them barrels are extremely heavy when they're full I had our rain barrel on some 4 x 4 post and it eventually started leaning to the left sinking from the weight. Another good video Jeff thumbs up.

Jeff I love watching your videos and it is the highlight of my day. I just discovered your channel and I also love fishing and everything outdoors. I would like to go noodling but I’m not sure how. Hey Jeff, sometimes those shower heads have a little filter in them. If you remove it you will get a little more volume. Love seeing your videos, keep em coming!

on my VPC valve I used a larger piece of PVC pipe and cut a notch in the end, also added a Tee to the end of the 4' pipe. The notch will fit over the valve handle to turn it on and off.

If you take the shower head back off and look inside where it screws onto the pipe, you will see a little plastic tab. Pull that tab with a pair of pliers and the piece will come out. That is the water saver for the shower head. After you take it out, then just screw the head back onto your pipe. The flow should be considerably more for your showers.

If ya switch to a hand held shower head, ya can plumb it down lower, so that little lady can reach. Helps get sand outta places, too! Nice job!

Jeff, if you had an aerator pump that you're not using, you could have a plastic drum that was air tight, and when it's full, you could close all the valves and pump air into it... you'd have good water pressure, because the air would displace the water, and it might take less water to shower at a time... just run it when in use... you can still use the inline water filter to remove trash from the lake water...

Spring loaded valve for off and on with a pull chain will work well in this application.
