After "accidentally" discovering Justin Heideman, I became a big fan of the Jefferson Davis High School Band. Vanilla Funk set them aside and pointed out the hard work that band did to achieve their great performances. Great Band Director and leader..

Say what you want to say, but, for me it's refreshing to see a black and white person with the same interests supporting EACH OTHER!!!!! It gives me hope for humanity. It show me we can all come together for a common cause and supporting each other.

I started watching Jefferson Davis videos 4 days ago and fell in love with this band and all the members. What fun, dedication, enthusiasm, energy and excellence. What great band directors and dance directors. I feel like I gave birth to all these wonderful young people. Actually I would be your grandmother! Good luck to all 3 of the drum majors going on to college and I hope the bands you will be with are wonderful people like you.

ASU is my stomping grounds. All I have to say is don't be stupid towards Justin. His heart is clearly in people and music. No old school biases needed. He will do very well in the ASU band.
