Hannita Njoki Mwaniki, famous for her role as Wafirethi in Papa Shirandula or as Njoroge's wife, joins us today to share her inspiring journey. Hannita and Kenneth Gichoya (Njoroge from Papa Shirandula) were close friends, both living in Ongata Rongai. Kenneth encouraged her to audition for the show, which she successfully did, portraying the no-nonsense wife of Njoroge in the series.
The divorce of my parents was a significant blow to us as children, and it had a profound impact on my education. I was compelled to take care of my siblings during that challenging time.
I embarked on various jobs until I found my way into acting. Today, I am a single mother to a wonderful daughter and also care for my sister's child. Motherhood has taught me the importance of providing for my children, instilling good values, and showering them with love.
By the way, as a young girl in primary school, I used to stand up against boys who teased me by calling me 'Kabuda.' Today, I embrace my identity and am not concerned about my weight."
