Robert K. Ressler was an FBI agent and author. He played a significant role in the psychological profiling of violent offenders in the 1970s and is often credited with coining the term "serial killer". He conducted a number of interviews with Serial Killers including Jeffrey Dahmer. Unfortunately the was a fan of not recording them digitally (because he thought that it would alter how the convicts behave) so we only have transcipts.
BUT thanks to AI we can bring these transcipts to live. This is my first attempt at recreating such an interview which only exists in written form to digitalize it and make it available to a bigger audience. Let me know if that is a format you enjoy and you want to see more of this.

Hi All, this is a completly new format I am trying out. I took this interview from Robert Resslers book os it only exists as a transcipt. I cloned Jeffrey's voice and gave it an interview setting. There are so many interviews which have not been recorded digtially but allow us to better understand what is going on in the mind of serial killers. Happy for any feedback. Do you like this format? Best SKM Update: best to play this at 1.25 speed

It’s interesting. The technology is getting very impressive, but it’s obviously not quite there yet. The movement and cadence of the voice aren’t quite there yet.

One thing i've noticed in jeff dahmer is that he says "uh" before every word he spoke (especially while talking about his crimes) He was very articulate and always thinks before he says something..tbh if i happened to have a conversation with him i would've never guessed he's an serial killer..no wonder why he got away with his crimes for so long

He is very calm and seems to be 100% aware and reflected. Not like Ted Bundy who is in denial

Really good job with the format. The voice clone is amazing. U did great. Cuz I hear podcasts talking about it being used for greed etc. i.e. the SAG-AFTRA strike. You keep it professional.

It’s pretty cool but if you could make the mouth move less wide it would be amazing! Cause Dahmer talked with his mouth kind of closed

I don’t think the AI footage adds any additional value. As in acting, the visualization is always an interpretation. If you’re here for the thrill only, you might enjoy the emotionless attitude of the AI serial killer for extra dark entertainment. If you’re genuinely interested in psychology or criminology, this is a misleading gimmick. Sorry, not for me.

What would be better for you? I am trying to get the interviews from written to share them in a video. There is so much more on Jeffrey in terms of interviews than the 3 big ones that were recorded

We are getting there. I feel like that the voice is pretty good actually but the cut is difficult. It is an interview that would have never been seen otherwise though

Even Dahmer's monotone, emotionless voice sounds better than this.... I won't even comment on the clothes.
