I'm the sister of Steve. The male baby in this "Stolen Baby" story. We had a great reunion. He came back to Memphis to visit and I took him and Carole, his wife to Graceland to see Elvis' home. They are big Elvis fans. Turns out his birth dad may have been named Elvis...he was about 25 years older than EP. Our Mom is still living and is 95. She still talks about Steve and our reunion. She wanted him so bad that as nervous and scared as she was, she took it to court. I knew about him since I was 10. There were no baby pics of me and when I complained about it. She handed me this little hardback pic. She said it was me. When I turned it over it said "My precious baby boy." Needless to say, I knew I was a girl so I questioned her and that's when she told me about Steve. She hurt so much over losing Steve but she's been happy ever since. We are one of the few families who had a happy ending.

I've been watching a lot about this criminal - Tann. I was legally adopted at birth but WA state closed records and it took me 30 years of searching to locate birth family through Kinsolving. More connections through 23andme. Shame on the states closing our records. It was too late for my birth parents as they both passed. I've met a few relatives. Facebook helps, but sadly one response, "I don't need another sister" comment hurts.

I just stumbled upon this story. I am shocked at the evil of these two women in Tennessee. These children should sue the state. I had an aunt who dies in the early 90’s. Sometime in the 1960’s, she gave birth to a girl. She gave the baby up for adoption. The family tried to locate the girl after my aunt was diagnosed with cancer. They weren’t able to find her and my aunt died never meeting her daughter. I never knew this story until perhaps 15 years ago. I’ve always wondered where my cousin is, what she looks like. I hope she had a happy childhood. All such a shame.

What is horrible is that it still happens every day because this is what adoption agencies do. Not much has changed since what that monster Tann did except making her crimes legal. Adoption agencies still buy and sell every infant they adopt out plus they have social workers who prey on single moms and break them down until they sign away their babies. If you want to help then please get everyone you know to speak out against this.

The thing is, here in the UK this sort of thing is going on today - only that its being done "legally", that is to say that new borns that are "suspected" of POTENTIALLY being at risk are being removed from the mother and out into the "care" system - and once these children hit the "care" system then they become untraceable - Richie Allen on KZfaq did a program on this a few days ago

Oregon is just as bad and has got worse. I'm not saying all DHS agencies but some of the adoption agencies that work with certain people in DHS, plus the courts. You get the right people in there that get paid to cover up then it's almost impossible to uncover when it's such a child trafficking ring. My mother had to give up me and my four siblings in sort of the same way that happened in TN. I'd say this is a much bigger problem than people realize.

The doctor that delivered baby and told the mother's the baby died but they were selling the baby out the back door. Many people said the baby's were tiny and covered in blood when they picked them up and they were afraid to get help for the baby's because they didn't want to get in trouble because they thought it was a real adoption up until they had this premature baby in their care.
