The term Governing Body is a legal term which appears on IRS form 990 section VI Governing Body and management. The IRS wants all "governing bodies" of any non profit org to account for the money. So what a surprise, the IRS gave the leaders of the WT organization their August title, not the holy spirit.

Also I think many of the District overseers have barely concealed contempt for the majoroty rank and file including elders.

The leaders (GB) of the JWs are also the top executive directors for the Watchtower Corporation (Publishing house) These men made the the organization's doctrines which were printed on their own publications to the public. So you could say their inherent preaching was documented and publicly released. There is no mention of a GB in the bible , there is also no mention that during a baptism event that the individuals had to make a vow of loyalty to these group of GB men, which they do do during a JWS baptism. That in itself is unscriptural. 😳😳😳

A simple way to understand Bible prophesies is to study everything Watchtower has published and then detach 1914 and shift everything to the immediate future. Next delete Christendom as the object of Gods Judgement and insert the Watchtower. Press Enter.

9:10 It was in 2019 annual meeting was when it dawned on me how little the GB knew about the Bible. It was when David Splane was unveiling new light about the locusts in Joel and the locusts in Revelation. He said the knew understanding was by reading Joel in context. It only took the "Faithful Slave" 100 years to read the prophecy in Joel in context. Meanwhile I remember telling people when I was doing those carts that the easiest way to understand a scripture is by reading them in context. How embarrassing.

I can't blame them. My favorite JW elder used to tell me privately that he believed (he's deceased) that JWs were not the only Christians nor are the only ones that will be saved. Of course we know that's a big NO NO and that would have classified him as being apostate by mentioning it. He and I spoke about such things in private because we were close and he knew I had a number of issues with the WTBTS myself including that idea. My big issues were all the 'antitypical prophesy fulfilments' that they claimed in various publications of the assemblies and other marked dates of Jehovah's witnesses events during the 20th century being prophesies made in the OT that had come to fulfilment. The WTBTS seems to have always enjoyed applying bible prophesies over and over again willy nilly as they saw fit trying to increase the credibility of their organization. The arrogance was a bad smell to me as I read it. My thought was that anyone can do this. If I wanted to I could make just about every event in my life a fulfillment of some prophesy recycled.

Elders bicker among themselves about stupid things. I know a few that constantly talked to me about which knew more or who taught who while out in service. I was thinking like what the what?
