35 plus years of drinking and drugging took its toll on my life. 13 of those years were on the streets, many times in and out of jails. I had walked away from my family, and everyone had walked away from me. When I thought all was done and I was disappearing into the abyss a shimmer of light led me to walk out of the belly of hell. As the light grew brighter I began to see that I wasn't such a bad person. I had been created to do awesome things and there was hope, forgiveness, love and an awesome family awaiting. Today I'm still being molded into the man I was created to be. I have my family, grandkids, own a beautiful home in the mountains, own a business and now talk with others to show them there is HOPE. My daughter has been in treatment since she was 14. From then on she has been in jail and prison . She's still struggling but she wants to be not addicted. She's found God. That's a start. Man years of alcoholism and drug use along with mental disorders. Not taking treatment seriously at first. Y'all now I've been clean for almost 4 years of drugs. I had almost lost everything, But I gave up all my money, I mean I would have killed myself. I had a steady flow coming. I went to zero dollars I gave temporary custody of my kids to my sister. Then I went to rehab on my own, Y'all God blessed me I got everything back and divorced my abusive husband. I got all my money back and God still walks with everyday as a recovering addict. I haven't drank in two years I'm blessed I thank God I'm a clean Grandma. I quite as soon as my daughter said I'm pregnant mama. My 1st I said I will forever be a recovering grandma. I get to see my grandson's big radiant smile, witness his Intelligence and buy the thing's us grandma's buy. I'm just blessed and love this song so much.
