I was ok with this concept till I found out they gave the same treatment to Jabber Jaws. That was the line. I want nothing more to do with this "show."

I admit, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. This one doesn't work because there's nothing in the original character left. Heck, this version doesn't even seem to know El Kabong anymore. Now Jabberjaw? That one is hilarious because the original was a rip off of Larry from the 3 Stooges. You can't ask for them to "stay with the original" because the original Jabberjaw wasn't an original character in the first place.

@@cs16241 Oh I actually cared about those too lol, I used to be a big Scooby-Doo fan back in my teenage days so yeah that Velma reboot sucks butt. Doesn't change the fact that Jellystone is also filled with the same ideological garbage, although like I said, it's a bit more forgivable here given the fact most of these changes are rather harmless since this show doesn't take itself too seriously.

I mean, the old female Hanna Barbara characters weren't much to ride home about. They were all practically the same token "pretty girl", just with a different designs. Even in their time, they weren't that funny or memorable. For Jellystone, the creatives mostly genderswapped characters who have crossdressed before and, therefore, had a history of presenting female. This gave the creative team a diverse range of funny cartoon characters with unique designs, distinguishable personalities, as well as specific roles and relationships, something you'd want with a comedy.

If you think Jabberjaw in this show is super intelligent and successful, then your bar for intelligence snd success is on the floor 💀
